@quartz turret Great video!
The team enjoyed it and we're excited to see more content from you as more info is shared ๐
@silk skiff thanks! Look forward to it!
Personally, I think a video on the team to help assure that the team knows what they're doing would be helpful for skepticists such as myself.
@tacit pelican could you elaborate? A video from the team or about them?
yew
xD
Ah of course! Great idea! Iโll begin to gather as much as possible
We'll be sharing more info in the future ๐
Speculation it is for now then
That's fine, the internet loves speculation even more than actual facts
there's more info about the team, our backers and experience in the #868101997172260956 channel posts
hope that helps
Again, I really just need to be assured that my (possible) financial investment isn't going to be funneled into "Party Fridays" and the like, you know?
It's always a mixed bag with games coming from non-aaa devs.
If a dev company can both release an epic game, continue to support it with more epic content, AND do Party Fridays at the same time, that's even better imo
rest assured we don't have any fun ๐
I can tell by your immediate devotion to the shrimp god
Speculation... my kind of thing! ๐ I see in the trailer the tree chopping, but also someone hauling a big log. Can we assume this represents a more physicalized world with resources, and not a magic bag of holding?
@remote pelican I believe a lot of other people have noticed that. In the analysis video you can see the same stack of lumber as in the town time lapse. Iโm assuming resources hold physical value
TBH only the more hardcore of audiences would be okay with physical holding
in addition to sentimental value
maybe huge logs need to be carried but just wood goes in the bag
maybe logs can only be chopped into smaller pieces at a building in your town
i mean if thats the case how would the game be playable. log carrying sim?
@wraith crystal I agree I think they will a inventory system I think it could be just an aesthetic way of storing loot
There are games that take this approach, and they are very playable. Life is Feudal is one I can think of.
This gives a sense of satisfaction through working toward something that isn't instant gratification.
Some stuff can go in the bag, but there's also the physical objects that need to be dealt with logistically, etc.
if you want to level up construction (or whatever uses wood) then yea
yes theyve already confirmed that the roles will play a large part in the game. im assuming there will be the need for masterbuilders in peoples groups
im very interested in the building mechanics, in the trailer you can see the villagers physically working on the houses. is this a aesthetic thing for the trailer i wonder?
that would be really cool, especially if it was interactive
I would like those things to take some time... and maybe like you say, if this borrows from some city builders, NPC villagers might move in to your town and you could then pay them for their work, etc.
On paper, this game could be almost anything I ever wanted ๐
Great video by the way @quartz turret - I thought it was going to be a quick slap-together job since it game out so quickly, but you had some nice commentary!
@remote pelican thanks Iโm working on one right now. Itโs going to be slight speculation but Iโm going to go in depth on what we know about the game.
@silk skiff can i ask why all of the admins have the same themed profile pics? are they related to the game?
Check out the Team section of the website! Seem to be in the art style of the game (based on the trailer) and maybe gives a clue at the kind of customization we might see. Maybe?
@remote pelican thanks! And that was my assumption
It's really a sight how much info you can garner through google, huh?
