#Talking about bugs.
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Moving house to another region not working
Rubberbanding when walking with cart after being logged in to long
That should be working soon in the coming weeks.
Honestly
I dont really have 4 other bugs that effect me
Its more bugs you see effecting other people that keep popping up.
Ohh wait nvm.
In the build menu when I grab the scroll bar and drag it. The scroll bar moves slower then the mouse so I have to do it multiple times to get to the other end
1/ Enemies instantly respawn on death meaning you can get overwhelmed
2/ Building / paving and you get STUCK and have to spam B button to unstuck
3/ Can't interact with Building Blueprints, you have to relog to reinteract
4/ T5 Gate
5/ T4 Mushroom
6/ Running around a fruit-tree turns off Sprint for some reason
Bonus/ Lack of Gondolas
Pillar Shaping (z fighting causes my friends epilepsy screen to go black)
Enemies respawning immediately
no T5 Gate
T4 Mushrooms
General UI just not working (inventories not opening, sometimes requires multiple clicks etc...)
Dunno if it's a single bug or multiple but interacting with both buildings and pavement frequently breaks. For example, when trying to enter a terraforming site your character will instead pathfind to the previous site you interacted with. Or that you can only remove 1 pavement tile per login
This is multiple.
ah yea, inventory not opening or Traveler not showing you their trade UI
+1 for pillar shaping being bugged graphically
pillar shaping being broken for this long is dangerous for some players
the z fighting is insane
Do you have any videos of this?
Pillar shapeing Z fighting
yep, I can go get one, give me 5-10 mins
Thanks you
I can send you videos of my two bugs if you need?
Well. Later
Videos will help loads.
iirc another dev mentioned that strength being completely moved from weapons to plate armor was unintended, so that should probably count as a bug. It impacts just about everyone
That might get patched with tomorrows build.
For me 'coming weeks' is too long with towns losing more and more people and regions becoming more like ghost towns as weeks past. It's been an issue for more than 3+ weeks now and should have been resolved sooner.
Thanks however for clarifying that it's being worked on at least but this just another reason to justify my low playtime sadly.
To add other bugs, T4 mushrooms still being a request from Heimlich and UI sometimes not working at all after multiple interactions
Lutra can I DM, can't send videos here?
Yeah you can
I am guessing the T4 mushrooms bug, is you cant find them and not that Heimlich keeps asking?
Thats why heimlich keeps asking. He cant find them either
- Construction/deconstruction bugs that require workarounds like closing the game or pressing B repeately or shift-right-clicking on other types of items to reset.
- Settlement resource drain indicators not matching reality.
- Having to close the game when NPCs refuse to trade.
- Inconsistent deployable inventory window visibility (having to request they appear 3 times before it works, or having them popup in the way when not wanted).
- Pathfinding around variable terrain (ships refusing to go in a straight line in shallows, mounts running off roads (avoiding original terrain?)
- Expired settlement ownership process/timing needs to be revamped to provide a fair experience for everyone and block macro users.
sent them to you, this is currently one of my biggest criticisms with the game, pillars are all completely broken and a hazard for some players
You reminded me, definitely +1 to ships not pathfinding properly in shallow water
The inland sea in R3 is such a pain to navigate since its mostly shallows
Okay I will pass this along ,and fully understand the risks I got a epileptic in my family and know first hand how bad this is.
Number 2 is being worked on as we speak fix should be out some time with week.
Amazing all thanks for all the bugs, lines up with a lot of the bugs I had on my list that need fixing.
Deployable storage not opening anymore randomly when pressing 'i'. Nautical pathfinding around shallow tiles. NPCs not trading anymore randomly. Clicking stuff on and around pillars.
Anything you weren't actually aware of till now?
oddly the flicking grass.
They might have been I was not.
Ahh
But yeah this need Fixing ASAP
ty!
🥺 plz fix the grass I don't wanna be worrying about my epilepsy
new storage logs are inaccurate? (and only 10 entries ahhh) also, trade window bugging out and failing, the sound glitching in busy areas, t4 mushies, and t7+ recipes.
Storage logs are being worked on as you can by pass them.
Thank you all so much
Resources spawning under big rocks and ore
Ocean fish spawning seems very strange
Loot bags in-between the hexes are extremely annoying to get
Also ore chunks in rocky garden spawned inside the terrain
Some stations stop your craft if you click them
I seen this with Berry bushes.
Anyone got any Videos of Monsters respawning on death?
I talking about instances, when you walking along the edge of some elevated hexes and suddenly you can not move forward, because there is some big ore chunk, that's in a lower level, but its "inside the wall" and, as we all know, the game is actually 2d, so you can't walk over its invisible parts below you
Okay thank you for clarifying.
That could be just world generation bug. I dont know if ore respawn like that all the time
Yeah It might be but something we can fix once a wipe happens, I will still add it.
Anyone ells suffering from "Player character walking away when you deconstruct buildings."
All the time
Check if the respawner is scheduled to run periodically, e.g. hourly, and respawning animals and enemies that are dead regardless how long they've been dead. Looks like that.
Okay got one more.
"Player unable to teleport because the game says they’re still in combat and no enemies are around."
Do you have a video for number 6?
I've seen hunting animals 'respawn' on death, but only once per pack or so, feels like a buffered spawn command on hold until allowed
Has happened to me many a time
Another bug that I still encounter every so often is getting stuck at crafting stations
Sometimes the game just bricks and you can't do anything, can't move or interact/craft, only a restart fixes it
How do you fix this do you have to log out.
I restart the game but another person from my settlement says you can deploy mount a goat and it fixes it without restarting
logging out bugging mounts / deployables / boats when using wasd, requires reset
Thank you.
In the same vein as the epilepsy grass bug, my cobblestone pillars do the same thing with the rocky gardens natural terrain clipping through on the sides
Yep, all pillars have clipping and z fighting issues, also they grow grass when they shouldn't (Stone and Wood pillars)
This is because the original terrain doesn't get removed, so both the pillar and original terrain exist at the same time
Keep in mind feedback like this is going to suffer from survivor bias.
-
That being said I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the inability to login bug yet. I still require a VPN to even play the game.
-
Windows resetting themselves every time you go through a portal or login.
-
Being unable to interact with nodes near cliff edges, either at all, or without accidentally climbing the cliff.
-
Nodes not responding to interaction without first clicking a lot of times.
-
Market toasts still toasting from sales weeks ago.
Yeah thats fine Its more to check if lines up with what I have been seeing.
All good, just wanted to point out the most significant bugs might not be represented since they ran off the population suffering from them, lol.
I am using multiple places to collected all the data,
Oh another log in log out bug, it says all my market items sold sometimes when logging out and logging back in. Never on a fresh log in after a fresh game boot though
Yeah big one will be 1 but thats big problum and not just one bug.
Monsters' ago not stopping, no matter how far you go from them. Preventing you from teleporting
1 bug, trade with NPC does not open, fixed by relog.
2 bug, the cart will be placed on the edge of a cliff and the character cannot interact with it, fixed only by folding and unfolding the cart.
3 bug, the cart inventory does not open, fixed by relog.
4 bug, after teleporting home from the cave, visual artifacts of a "floating island" appear, fixed by relog.
- dog-like creatures attack me while I am gathering resources(!) NOT cozy.
- Have to access build menu after every deconstruction activity to be able to do further deconstruction
- sailing does not give sailing experience
- compendium tracking on various items is divided among multiple "types" - for example T1 rock is boulders, outcrops, giant boulders, etc. madness.
- drop rates of rare items T1 hair and T1 braxite are extremely low - much lower than other rare items it seems.
- zesty (T3) bulb rolls and zesty deluxe bulb rolls have the exact same boost, though the deluxe rolls incorporate more effort and materials.
1/ trading with other users can sometimes not show the UI for one player or both
Rubber banding when using the wasd keys as well as chat opening after typing and using the wasd keys
I have ran into that one my self.
terraforming digsite interaction window often has errors - but not always (so it is tempting to look at the progress bar to see progress, a fools game though).
side note with terraforming, not a bug, but why on earth is it capped to only 5 increments, so frustrating to have to constantly click add more
Mounting/Zoning/Climbing/Anything resetting sprint is also up there.
@median wave Have just discovered a potential bug regarding combat, when fighting with others, the spear wielder seems to always get the drop regardless of how much dmg they do or if they just jump in last second and pull aggro they get the drop too, seems drops are tied to who has aggro, which means spear wilder always gets drop as the core function of spear is pulling aggro
what means "side not with terraforming, not a bug"? the progress bar (vertical) shows progress from start elevation to players target, sometimes resetting to achieved elevation at each step, and sometimes not. The horizontal progress bar outside shows progress on current increment and the progress bar inside the control window shows overall progress - again inconsistently. Sometimes the current and natural height text are over each other and illegible. These are not bugs? Example: I am looking at a terraforming digsite window right now, where the excavation is complete and the vertical bar still shows the current height to be at the starting elevation. The Dig button is active and when I click it, character starts digging (forever - because the dig is complete!) Terraform Digsite is buggy as hell.
lol
I thought "side not" sounded rather Shakespearean or something - like "ask not what you can do for your country . . . "
side not was a typo for side note
As far as I'm aware, that's intended functionality.
that the spear user gets all drops?
not a bug if its intended - so its more a feature request to not have it be like that
So you think it's completely fine if for instance, you are fighting a monster, and it's down to the last 5% hp and I run over and hit it with a spear and get the drop, that's intended gameplay?
Because that is how it is functioning
It's intended, but prone to abuse, yes
That is just stupid game design if it's intended
So if you're playing with a spear user, make sure they split drops with you if that's what you want.
Even if you're playing with a non spear user, if they do more DPS they will always get the loot too.
great way to really unbalance the weapons
It's a social game, so in practice it's been a non issue.
Ok, but that's not relevant to this thread. Sorry for the tangent.
There's now a 2nd epilepsy risk in the game, a lot of the dungeon floors also have bright flashing z fighting
This needs to be a high up fix too
Got a video?
sent it
ty
The market telling you your entire list of sold items since day one Everytime I log in is pretty annoying. I'm up to 300 entries or so now. Normally lasts til some other bug happens that I have to relog for and restart the count lol
any update fix regarding the Grass wood pillar having the grass growing ontop of it if you reenter a area?
Getting so pissed how poor the paving for plank looks but having to reboot the game to remove grass from pillars is also on my PTSD list 😄
#1413747880501448724 @median wave
Did anyone mention the uninteractable barter* stands when you first open them, and you have to move an item in your inventory to allow you to purchase something from the stand? if not, add that one to the list please
I don't think that's a bug but it is annoying.
I will have to add it to a different list
I think that one is a bug Lutra. If you logout (not exit game) and log back in it just spams you with market notifications. I dont think thats intended surely?
Another one is: when sailing, and marking on the map where you want to sail to, it won't allow you to sail past shallow water
- The thing I just lost my settlement due to infinite "initializing player" login on the days I was about to venture and restock supplies is hilarious.
- Supplies draining in a week when it said 21 days left is annoying
- Got attacked in safe zone several times
- When terraforming, level and progress bar doesn't update correctly
You got any images for this DM me them over.
Oh there's gotta be 5.
I guess 5th would be broken pathfinding in a lot of scenarios. Starting from complete ingore of buildings when moving through open world map, clipping through any z levels by foot, inability to move walkable z level "waterfalls" on boat and stucking in structures
We are hoping 1 don't happen again. or we have systems in place to stop it from happening.
well the Settlement supply bug.
Initialising player we had engineers working on that basically 24/7 from game coming out into EA
Unfortunately, there are too many variables, with this bug.
Well, specifically for me that wasn't critical since my main resources are in the nearest large city, I just wanted some cool looking settlement and gathered resources to build it and move in. But for many other players that can be unsettling (lol). I hope you'll fix it!
When building a settlement, it's best to maximize its capacity. Claim only the minimum space needed to ensure you have enough resources to operate for approximately 30 days.
I will probs write up a guide,
My observation is that people often lose their claims due to unexpected upgrades that they started or the amount of hexes they take up
We may need a tutorial that triggers or some other method to teach players how the Claim system works.
saying "engineers" were working on something but there were too many variables, makes me think they are train engineers and too many is when they run out of fingers to count . . . a lot of so-called software engineers are programmers who want a fancy title.
As someone who loves trains I agree haha, Always love model railroading.
If someone is present, I have a question regarding the building process. Does the player's movement away from a structure affect the blueprint placement, or the actual construction of the building or both?
you can place a structure in a pretty broad area around your location - the blue "framework". The placement is based on the cursor movement, not directly based on the player location. When you build, you have to be adjacent to the framework.
Thanks, I am just trying see if I can work out why the characters keep walking away when building.
there is a bug in construction. you have to double-click B to clear the last construction location

This bug may be related, it works pretty similar
Thanks you
biggest problem i think that happened with it is alot of people saw they had 1-2 days left for supplies but when it 3x ticked that 1 day turned into 8 hours. alot of people cant spend 16 hours a day on the game and have to work and have lives outside of a computer. so if you see i have 1-2 days left and figure you can work on it the next day after work or when you get home from work then all of a sudden it gets turned to 8-16 hours when you arent even home/logged into the game
Yeah I fully agree.
@median wave not a bug, but.. why we dont have a button to click to close the map?
I pass it along its more QOL feedback
