Writing this to provide a fresh, new player's experience, as I understand that sometimes with time/experience in a game, you can easily overlook which information is taken for granted.

What I wanted to focus on in this write up is the inventory UI - particularly the quantity limits. There's a couple of discrepencies in the design that aren't inuitive.

The bank inventory slots for small items are not shown.

I was originally placing items into the bank in stacks of 10, each getting their own slot. There is no indication in the bank UI that small items have a higher stack limit, and I discovered this when I shift-clicked a stack (10) of strawberries from my inventory, and all 6 of my stacks neatly stacked into 1 slot.

Additionally, there is no way for me to see what a slot's maximum stack size is-- nor is there a way for me to predict it. The maximum a big cargo item stacks is 10 in my cart, and 100 in my bank. So if the stack for strawberries is 50 in my cart, is it 500 in my bank? I dont know!

The inventory slot for the large cargo item in your personal inventory doesn't show a limit.

Your bank shows 0/100 which is good! Very clear. The cart shows a limit of 0/10.

bank, cache (and ox for small items) each have 10x stacking for small items, but default stack size depends on the item. cargo items all stack the same.

stack sizes being listed on the cart was added because people assumed that cargo in the cart stacked the way it did in the inventory - not at all. i think most buildings and deployables now list stack depth in their tooltip.

i agree with this feedback, but since small items stack size does vary per item, the max stack size cannot be displayed on the slot it needs to be noted on the item itself somehow. other folks have suggested that the item descriptions show the stack sizes, which would be very helpful in this situation!

they added info for deployable tooltips such as carts that says what the stack size multiplier is, its called "item slot depth" which is not very intuitive what that means but it is the stack size multiplier

i believe the stack size multiplier for ALL containers like chests, cache and bank, is 10x

not disputing your feedback in any way, i agree with it, just giving you the info 🙂
