I think someone some somehow glitched our barter stalls into giving them money for nothing. We lost 250k in a matter of hours while I was at work and received no items to show for it. The settlement is Talport, Talzarian Empire, Region 4 owned by Robert me and there is only 1 co-owner who did not do steal the money or items from stalls. There has to be something going on with an exploit that let people steal from our treasury via barter stalls they also bought the items from our stalls then took the money back again. Please help and track down what happened here. This is a big loss that should not be happening. There were no wrong prices in any of the stalls that would allow them to purchase an item for less than they could sell it for. They also cleared out many of our stalls I theorize by stealing our money then buying our items then stealing our money again.
#Barter stall bug left us with no money and most of our items gone.

Happened sometime between 3PM central standard time and 12 am central standard time August 1st
I posted a support ticket a few days ago about this and it has some files showing the balances via bitjita of before and after the incident. RobertCUH is the name assosiated with the ticket.

Expected items in barter stalls to sell and receive money in return. What actually happened is items were taken from stands and money was drained.
<@&771117036826132491> guys is there any way to check what happened? do you have some sort of logging or did we just lose everything.
Barter stalls use the claim treasury to pay for trades in barter stalls. So when there is no money left in the barter stall itself, it uses coins from the treasury to pay for items
But you are saying you don't have any bought items in the stalls?
Yes we had 250k and pretty much full barter stalls then next we noticed the 250k was missing and we were missing a majoirty of our "valuable" items from our stalls with the only items really left behind being the less valuable items
ied have to assume an exploit was found to drain the treasury some way through trades then the money that was stolen was used to buy the valuable items then the money was stolen again.
We know that the treasury is drained when things are purchased how ever 250k worth in a matter of hours isent normal and losing all of our stock in our barter stands while losing treasury money is even more not normal.
<@&771117036826132491> any info?
Just want to let you know that we haven't forgotten about this. We have done some surface level investigation and are trying to think of next steps
Thanks ❤️
If you have any kind of extra information you can think of that would be helpful
nothing helpful, only speculations from guy who sells to the stands often (sorry for the language)
Sorry im late here. You probably were buying something higher for than you were selling. Were there any items that you listed or changed prices beforehand? or if you are sure that you didnt make any errors with the stands, someone with co-owner perms could have edited them to be exploitable. If you had a particular item or two in mind that you think could have been the culprit it might help the devs or a 3rd party out a lot in figuring this out.
If you had some items to narrow it down to im sure it would be possible to search a 3rd party db that keeps inventory history (craft . resubaka . dev) for players that transferred large amount of that item within the timeframe. I am not sure any of these sites offer an API like Bitjita, but there is no harm in asking (i dont know who runs that site unfortunately). If you can reach out to them and get access i would be willing to write something to look through it for you, but they might be able/willing to just look themselves 🤷♀️
obviously i dont think there should be a witchhunt for this person(s) and it is 100% solely up to clw on how to handle this situation, my suggestions are more of a "how do i answer this question now" sort of thing, but this information should not be acted on.
@elder venture
Yeah, we thought this happened initially as well with a price that is higher buying than selling so we naturally checked all the stands and we dident find any errors. There is also only 1 co owner and they did not steal anything or change anything before this was noticed. I also posted the inventories of all the barter stalls before and after the incident above via bitjita.
The only concrete things we got are the missing items via bitjita and a time frame that it happened in.
what are the missing items exactly?
In the Talport_Bitjita_01_before.mhtml
1.99 MB
Talport_Bitjita_02_after.mhtml
1.76 MB this is before and after inventories of the barter stalls and you can see many of the barter stalls that were pretty much full before the happening but after the more expensive items are missing afterwards. These are some examples of the items that went missing.
Above is the Svim stall, mostly the higher tier stuff and parchment
This was the Ramparte stall
This one was brico before the happening after it was completley empty

Who would take 5000+ T3 star bulbs 💀
Plus the treasury before and after amounts
Like I said before this happened sometime between 3pm and midnight Friday August 1st Central Standard time
im just curious, how did you get the backdated bitjita screenshots?
or did you just happen to have them
Someone from my settlement I think happened to have it up and left it up before anything happened
I have the claim loaded all the time, so I just saved the page before I refreshed it.
ive checked quite a few peoples inventory and stuff who ive seen around the settlement just to see if they were the one but none of them really matched a potential thief. I was looking for the 5k star bulbs and the frames and slabs from the stands since those are pretty unique also the insect wings but no luck. Also no market listings around the time this happened of our items either.
It honestly really looks like an inside job. If this was someone knowing how to take out items out of barter stalls and/or coins from treasury it would have been reported by other people too at this point. It's very time intensive for an engineer to look into this kind of thing to figure out who took what, so honestly for the time being this is most likely not going to be looked into more unless we start getting more reports of this happening to others and see that it has more potential to be an exploit.
Did you also by chance have paying for supplies set up? That would be an easy way to drain the treasury
Only up to 60k supplies we had 100k plus at the time
you can clearly see the supplies are -1k difference, not + several tens of thousands.
#1405770525602484336 message so you can look if it was "inside job" ...
I had a barter stall that was in non-market mode... and ALL of the items are gone, and only the money that was left in for buying things (10k in gold) was still there... exactly... so im not sure, but it seems thre may be some kinda wierd bug. I'm the only owner of the town.
I'm not sure if it is related but I also set barter stalls in our settlements in non market mode, offered items lowered but money did not appear in the stall... is it supposed to go to treasury or something? If so it should be at least mentioned in the building tooltip, this is very confusing.
