#Claim Tile BUG (UNABLE TO DELETE CLAIM TILES)

I submitted a ticket 2 days ago about my claim not being able to remove claim tiles (over 400+ tiles in a straight line) at all from a very far off location while trying to create a temporary station near a cave.

Since we're unable to remove the claim tiles from so far away we are getting are supplies drained at an insane rate. It went from -30 supplies/ hour to -161 supplies/hour.

I allowed the 2 day business ticket response time, but would really like to get help with this issue.

To add my 2 cents from an amateur player PoV investigation:
Extremely long tile run. First screenshot: Origin claim is tracked/targeted; Player position/coordinates (N6455, E4244) is one terminus of the tile run. 3 horizontal map chunks away from claim (4 if we include Claim chunk).
The bug: The option to remove tiles (through build menu) works until the player mouses over the claimed tiles. The expected graphics and mouse cursor disappears. It reappears once outside the claim tiles. (See Screenshots of player; Red tile is mouse cursor outside claim, second player screenshot is the mouse cursor over the player model tile (on claim)

Hypothesis of issue: Distance from claim related. Reminds me of the issue the with claim rental tab in the alphas; once to far from a claim, something isn't loaded client side properly. If I recall this caused a crash in the alphas; I'd have to dig up my notes to verify, but the following evidence shows it is chunk distance related.

This is insane :o Note to self: No long single tile strands. Hopefully someone gets this fixed for you bud. :(

You aren't allowed to remove a claim tile that would cause any amount of claim tiles to become unconnected from the claim. You have to work your way backward from the furthest tile and remove them in that fashion if you have a single tile strand.

It seems like the player gets too far away from the claim that even standing within the claim is not registering them as owner of the claim anymore.

Can we please get a supply pause on this claim while this bug is being fixed? It is draining the resources of the claim.

is there any update on this issue? Its happening to our claim as well. The drain aint that bad, but I really want to remove some claims

Alpha 3 had a similar thing where there was a limit how far from the claim totem you could stand to still be able to claim/unclaim tiles.
is it possible to try a thing (if you havent yet) - start running from totem to location where you need to unclaim and open build ui right away while in range of totem. when character gets to the spot, might you be able to unclaim or not?

or if there is a way to move your camera to needed area while character still being "in range" of totem

guys I may have come across a workaround. It seems I can remove those claims in the long line away from the town center if you place a gate close. In my screenshot, you see 2 lines of claims that are pretty far from my town center (in the minimap, its what I'm tracking) and I had the issue with removing the last spot. But I chanced by placing a gate there to see if I could make it look good aand I actually could remove the claims.

Is there more steps to the workaround? It does not seem to allow me to see a blue cursor when I mouse over the end of the claim.

I have a gate close to where I am but clearly not close enough, so I can't remove the claim I'm standing on. I placed it to show. I am trying to remove the claim I'm standing on but can't select it with the remove claim button

now I'm standing on the gate and I can target them. For some reason its not showing, but this is a single lane (the same seen in the screenshot above)

note that the red remove claim is there because I can't even target the claimed spot, the button disappears (just like yours)

just one more screenshot to provide context. My town claim isn't even showing there, its a bit further. I have a new hypothesis: try adding some more walls connected to the gate. maybe its actually about having some structures conected in the range
