#Increase Draw Distance in options

I think this might actually come down to a bigger thing than just render distance (as you say, if network allows), since it's a "server-rendered distance" as the server has to send you quite a bit more information per hex moved
and the load on the server increases pretty exponentially per player when you start to increase that
at least that's how it works with more traditional client-server architectures, idk how it would work with stdb
yep, that is what im wondering
i hate the render distance as well — you can increase it, but it's still very bad
i understand them having performance problems with it, but maybe add something very simple like a low poly version of the thing and then when you get close start loading the full poly version
and also add something like a fog that prevent you to see very far away, so we don't have this ugly vision of "everything is desert and it pops very aggresively when we get closer"
actually, eventhough i can move the game in ultra graphics, i'm using just high graphics becasue they had a small fog in the horizon that makes this a bit better
I agree - its just a shame to go from whta i think is actually amazing art direction and implemention to.. that
yeah, when you're in the forest it's pretty good 'cause you can't see very afar; but once you are in a more "plain" biome, you can see how the draw distance is managed very badly (not talking about optimization, that i don't have knowledge to speak, but in terms of visuals)
