like a good scavenger, I camped out at an expiring claim two hours before it would be expected to expire. It is reported to be using 25 supplies per hour and has 33 supplies remaining. But as the top of the hour passes, instead of the supply quantity dropping from 33 to 8 as one might imagine, instead an hour was added to the expiration time. Now there might be a perfectly rational bit of logic to that in some developer's mind, but it simply looks like bad software from here.
#Supply timer is still flaky in July

so what ended up happening, did it just take an extra hour?
I do not know. I have seen erratic results. I have camped out on three different expiring claims - one seemed to expire "on time", but another one seemed to have expired sooner than expected and been salvaged by others. A third one was "rescued" with resupply by owners before it expired - and this is the one I mentioned because it seemed to have passed its expiration when it was saved. I will continue to study this as opportunity permits - for science!
Very interesting, thanks for sharing! Yes, we need more data... for science!
