no right or wrong answer just personal choice

#

math is math

#

the average must be 1000

#

or else its free money

#

usually it would even be less but the house doesnt take any cut in this game

#

so the math i represented is based on a 1000 average. thats all

inland tendon
#

the only right number is what people will buy it at, not whatever stats say 😛

proven aspen
#

agreed! these numbers are a good reference point to base yourself on 🙂 then its all depending on how bad you want to buy or sell it... 😉

#

the black is 1%

#

the white is 0.1%

#

you are forgetting that you dont throw every other owl in the garbage, every roll is worth money, hence the sum*odds/count of all should equal 1000 is what he is saying

proven aspen
#

items 1 to 10 being most common to rarest

#

Yes that is correct @calm timber

#

@hollow slate i want to work through this with you haha

#

imagine you open 1000 owl eggs. 1 of them (on average) will be white. 10 will give black, and so on and so on, as showed in the table above

#

proportions of course.

#

one person could open a white owl egg on their first try, costing them only 1k, but that does not at all affect the rarity or price of the white owl.

#

Do you agree that the average price of owls is 1000 considering an owl egg is 1000?

#

where do you get your 20k from, out of thin air?

#

i did not

#

i gave the table

#

the table says 10k

#

it comes down to the average price of an owl is 1000 because the price of an egg is 1000.

Common owls will sell for less because they are undesirable.

Rare owls will go for more than 1k because they are desirable.

It has to average out at 1k, so I asked chatgpt to math it for me, kept asking the right questions until it made sense.

#

Now, other things will affect the price, this is just a base reference

#

If the average was higher than 1k, than buying owls would just be a free money loop, every1 would buy eggs just to sell.. but then the market would be oversaturated, prices would go back down, naturally.

#

sell for less than 1k

#

its like buying a lotery ticket for 10$. Some will get you zero or a couple dollars.

#

2.8% chance is only 10 times rarer than the common one.

#

i would sell it for 10k for sure.

#

If you can find someone for more than that go for it

#

you can advert it at however much you like

#

you might wait long or even never sell it

#

brother haha

#

Are you looking to sell any?

#

Ok!

#

Also dont forget, there isnt a limited supply at the moment, so nothing is "that rare"

#

The supply is not limited because anyone can keep buying eggs.

A limited supply would be like if the eggs were only sold for the first week and then never sold again

#

(which would make it much rarer and prices go up)
