#uneven ground: better fences / paving
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I have this frustration when building walls I have to leave a gap
PLEASE YES
it's also annoying when there are holes in a road due to a slight change in terrain height
You should level the terrain
You could raise whole town up
that works for places not against water though
i want to build fences on a cliff, not level the place. if everything was flat i wouldn't need a fence
Ah, they joys of the corner tiles... Hopefully some day we will be able to have better interactions with them.
+1 trying to build a gentle slope between different elevations is turning out very ugly due to being unable to pave the corners
it's almost possible to do, I did it on the red circle
the trick is to bring all 3 tiles to the same height, pave it, then raise the tile you want
yes please allow paving on elevation changes pleasepleaseplease
floating pavement over dirt any day
Qlso, it would be good dig without removing flowers. I understand we have to remove clay, trees, rocks, but flowers? We should be able to dig without removeing them
What annoys me even more than the aesthetics of a gap in the pavement is that resources can still spawn on uneven corner tiles. This results in trees growing right in the middle of the road
Yes, trees and bushes can spawn in gaps like that
Thankfully, pavement on convex corners will sit at the elevation of the lower 2 hexes and tuck underneath the corner. You can achieve this by terraformimg everything flat, paving the corner, and terraforming the hexes back to the elevation you want them at
Concave corners, however, result in floating pavement
I absolutely want this. Its weird enough that the little hexagons dont fill up the big hexagon terrain tile. Honestly that would be the better move but seems like it would take an extensive change. But yeah at least being able to do the half tile things
