The same thing happen to me, although in my case I was able to enter the game, verify the code they sent to your email. Then I quit the game to play it later that day, but when I came back, it was no longer in my library. No idea why.

#game-news Explains all this, but the gist of it is that it was purely a stress test. Sadly steam doesn't mention that and the devs of the game can't edit the email. However they did make a post on the steam page mentioning that it was going to be a stress test.
