hey there, I've played in the closed alpha and would love to check out the new features. I'd be willing to try out mining and masonry, however don't expect me to be the most active player as I'm still recovering from a back surgery preventing me from doing long gaming sessions. Hello there as well! We have a good chunk of players in the EU. Some of us probably will f up their sleep schedules and be all over the place in the beginning anyways. Together with the rest of Umbilica there will basically always be people playing. ^^
That said, health should always be a priority! This is a game and should be fun. Our definition fun is play as much as you can/like but when you play we play together with the shared goal in mind.

About two hours 😅 The main goal was to check how many bioms already exist. And what to expect from higher tiers high. And actually it looks good, I think establish trade routes are required to progress on tier4/5.

This is the alpha 3 map, here you see all the biomes we have in the demo as well. For EA there will be at least 2 more. Not every region will have all biomes, so yeah, you are absolutely correct. Trade routes will be very important.
Two hours is loooong. I'm looking forward to the faster skiff and further boat upgrades...

Now map is much bigger. Looks like each starting point is close to some high level bioms instead of only 3 starting vilages in the middle. I spawned near Dusthollow. And most of the continent is swamps/rocky desert. Going to make one more sailing attempt in search for other bioms.

With the Demo Done we have now planned our initial Roadmap for the Start of Early Access.
If you are looking for a deep dive into a few (2-3) Professions instead of casting your experience wide, Calmalu might be a good fit for you.
But Beware, Calmalu shares their Resources as a Group, because if everyone works together, everyone advances.

I think we're definitely of the mindset that you can only belong to one claim. Everything else would just not really mesh with the philosophy of Calmalu.

Has nothing to do with going here but goes for everyone who's crafting in/visiting Calmalu.
You night have not had it happen to you yet but we regularly had fps drops happen to ~3 fps for ~30-90 seconds. Those happen for everyone in the vicinity at the same time.
So thank you for the kind suggestion but it has nothing to do with an individual's PC. Our more well versed members regarding this stuff were able to trace the issue back to pet pathing. Accordingly we're asking all visitors to store away their pets until CWL fixes the issue to alleviate the problem.
