is this meant for a specific type of beaver? i think it would be pretty funny to compress some crops into mapkeshift planks or so like woven wheat as a hayPlank or canola as oilyPlank or so, i have no idea on the ratios of inputs per plank but making crops more usable seems funny...
can there be multiple outputs in the recipes? like having canola in the oil press but put in more canola than the standard recipe and getting an additional plank as output besides the oil...
yes it's possible to have faction-specific recipes too
there are actually quite a few
other thoughts;
maybe something along the lines of robot limb + metal scap = robot chassis
too bad there is no way to penalize the bot that is created by this because all items are fungible in the game 😛
i thought more in the spirit of alternate recipes making it a bit easier to get some things because it takes some investment to get them..
is it also possible to change the recipies of buildings like the water pump? to have the unlock be an upgrade to its efficiency?
if it is possible to change the recipies of buldings like the pumps it opens up the possibility to remove those standart recipes from the beginning, making the use of those buildings needing to be unlocked through relics first
also thinking about unholy recipes, like turning a sick beaver with some gears and metal into a bot ... but idk if it is possible for that to only work on sick beavers and not all beavers
If its possible to change building cost as well there are some shenanigans that that would open up, like having it cost a bot to build a fluid pump. or having it cost a beaver sacrifice to build the agora... can buildings have unlock build costs? can they even have multiple build costs? that seems unlikely...
yeah change the recipe, yes. but not adding more recipe to them though
changing building cost is possible but needs save reloading, can't change it mid-game.
can recipes change or lock/unlock other recipes?
i asked myself: what if people run out of relics.
can there be an expensive recipe to find more on the mines?
or can we get a relic by sacrificing a beaver >:).
then i thought sacrifice one at first but make it more expensive from then on.
thus the question: can recipes change another during the game OR if thats not possible, can there be a chain of recipes where if you use one of them it locks itself and unlocks the next one
