thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. I rushed this out quickly and have been reading feedback on the other 1.0 maps to inform my new map. I'm 20 hours deep and it currently runs to cycle 30 - if you add me on Steam you can see the work in progress. It's a 256x256 lake style map... Thanks again : )
At the start it would help if there are some berries (maybe 12-20) that are at 100% and ready to harvest. Otherwise on hard mode the beavers run out of food for a day or so until the first carrots grow. Not sure how initial food balance is with IT or if they need more berries sooner than waiting 12 days for their first berries.
just ran the map and this is a huge issue that I somehow missed, gonna quickly edit it so some of them are harvestable - thanks again. New map is 90% complete and has activations every cycle - I'll link you when I upload it, if you have time to feedback that would be awesome, no worries if not : ) Seriously, thanks for taking the time - I really enjoy making the maps, but it's extra good when I know someone has actually played it.
also the badwater river that exits the map being only 1 wide makes it almost impossble to fit water wheels inside. not sure if intended or overlooked.
originally, in my plans...., this was the easiest of four starting points on a small map and that badwater stream was a 'beginners guide to' style setup, where it was easy to divert and stop poisoning the main channel - it wasn't designed for waterwheels. I do love waterwheels though, my favourite form of beaver power creation and will usually have at least one spot near to base where you can get a wheel and workshop.
I've put a small berry and water storage at the starting location now, I quite like the dynamic of already having storage built and it resolves the issue. Thanks
the map is very nice i thought it would be harder ||(was afraid of more exploding, but only like 1 i think exploded luckily during drought so nothing really happened||) im building the wonder now and guess will be done with that its cycle 21 currently

It was edited from an old map and used the easiest starting location, I rushed to get something out that used most of the new stuff and to see what the capabilities were, so the events themselves weren't overly considered. I've taken the feedback and used it with my new build, it currently had events every cycle up to cycle 50 and should provide more of a challenge. Good players will always find a way to make something easy though : )

like for example when i first loaded it and checked it i was like ups the water scources will explode and there is a lot of badwater so i was ok this will be a potential challenge long term but ye
or like maybe be on a timer like have 25 cycles or something to complete before the whole maps goes bad with badwater
but maybe that is an idea for a different map 😄

I'm finding difficult to balance the play, some people are speed-running the game whilst others build fantastic creations. My new map will definitely provide more of a challenge.
What mode did you play on hard/normal/easy

I think the gaps between events are too far apart on this map, that's definitely sorted on the new map. I would love your feedback on that if you have the time - there are events each cycle
i totally understand but maybe i dont know if this is possible the events could be delayed depending the difficulty you play on? so
if on hard
they happen faster than on normal or easy?

I play the game in three different ways. Full creative - map making and dev mode builds, creative - normal settings and make the place look nice, min-max - hard mode and the game is paused more than it runs... : )
also you said more things are coming should i keep going a bit more than on this map? make it more beautiful and see what happens?
you could. looking at your build, it would provide some extra challenge, but I think the next one won't hurt and you'll have to wait a while for the one after that

I have used bots in a couple of builds, I have never built a detailer

not a fan of either - most of my builds are folktails, emberpelts or leafcoats
i have never played a custom faction are those fun?
like are they stable enough?
they are what got me properly hooked on the game - I'm prepared for unstable play, but I've only had a couple of issues in hundreds of hours
issues probably more relating all the other mods also running....

they are so good, but beta and could be cleaned up a bit - just one dude though, so I wait hopefully and patiently

I had a lot of fun programming that map, there are signs everywhere for what to expect, if you can read them...
all good, I really don't mind - I occasionally see people in this channel get quite bothered by spoilers though, so try my best ; )
