i also wanted to give my thanks for this year's holofes, ever since 4th fes ive been able to make most of the performances up until now so im grateful i still have the opportunity to spend this time with other holofans every year making fun of camerawork, gushing over choreo, or hornyposting
on that note i just wanted to say how refreshing it was to be able to catch half of the stages of this year's fes at all despite what was a pretty shit last month on my end, and depending on how the rest of the year goes for me i honestly don't know if i'll be able to make it to 8th fes live or even afford the 3 day pass next year. Ill do my best to survive until then.
being able to catch bae breakdancing in stage 3 made it all the worthwhile. Once again she told us to lower our expectations and once again she blows me away again, every fucking time. I love bae, i hope she continues to chase her limits in the future and beyond, and i hope to be there to see it happen.

Taking the batteries out of your penlight also helps keep your batteries last a bit longer iirc, so it's a good habit

I wasn't able to watch live but I did get around to watching after, was the first time I've watched holofes, and I feel like I could yap a whole essay about it so all I'll say is, it was so much fun and great to be support everyone and be a part of the loop this time 
A lot of my main oshis were stage 4 so I'm biased but it was my favourite stage by far, I feel like every performance was a hit for me
I got spoiled on quite a bit (was still fun watching the MCs and appreciating the song choices), but while I would have been perfectly fine having Queen of the Night, the surprise of ChewyChewy + Gold Unbalance medley alone probably made it my highlight even ignoring the fact my oshis absolutely rocked it, I've been thinking about it still long after watching
Really gives me the drive to try to be there one day, I know I have to experience it live, but for now I'm happy to experience it at all

Always nice to read everyone's opinion on what holo means for them and what each holofesexpo does for them.
Even if it doesn't seem like no one is reading them, there are some who do and I will at least acknowledge that with this post.
Whether you enjoyed the holofesexpo online or in person, all are valid feelings and opinions at the end of the day.
I guess my tip for those who wish to visit the holofesexpo in person, don't let FOMO dictate too much of your decision to go. Don't let it become a checklist that you tick boxes to say you've done XYZ and then that's it. Make it something enjoyable and not something you'd regret going to or not being able to, etc. I see many people wanting to go before something bad happens (i.e. grads), but you can see very good examples like Heimins (Kanata fans) among other fans still gathering, partaking and representing during holofesexpo.
It's always good to just be able to hang out in places that you know everyone there shares your interest and passion in hololive at the end of the day
Oh and don't forget to take a lot of pics of you being there. You may not like selfies or someone taking your pics, but holofesexpo is not time to be shy

It's been 6 years since I follow Hololive. I didn't thought I would be into this vtuber thing for this long and thought it would be a phase I would drop but still here thankfully. These girls and boys really meant a lot to me. They helped me get through some rough times early on with just with their genuine personality, their dedication to making us entertained and sharing their happiness.
Around 2023 I was feeling a bit burnt out and thought my time has come but in that same year, Our Bright Parade happened, Advent and DEVIS debuted and finding an oshi I feel very strongly about (
) helped rekindle my love and at that point I start to see them not just entertainers, but idols.
Idols that'll shine bright, bring light to those around them and help inspire so many people to follow their dreams and accomplish their goals. And so far, they're doing a damn good job. Because of them I feel like I'm able to grow as a person and working towards the best version of myself and have been seeing that for other people too. Not to mention, I managed to meet new people I can call friends, online and offline
Thanks to this server I get to meet so many of you cool people, making this hobby even more fun to partake in. I honestly think I would have dropped it by 2021 if I was just a silent enjoyer. Just having someone to talk about your shared interests and having fun together like the after parties really does help make things more lively
There may be bad times like the recent graduation wave and unfortunate incidents but despite all that, just seeing them achieve their dreams and celebrating it with other people here is a feeling that'll never gets old. I love hololive so much and at this point I feel like it's something that I can't live without just like video games. Maybe I love you guys too idk. I got into hololive via a Haachama clip a friend sent to me in August 2020 - it's where she read lewd lines as some sort of punishment. At the time it felt surreal seeing that someone can just be a living breathing (moving!) anime girl in the internet. I started watching more and more clips. Then I stumbled into the rest of the holomembers. Safe to say it was arguably one of the best decisions I made this decade. Not kidding. I was doing everything to catch up with everyone. Safe to say I was probably a DD back then.
And then I came across this server. Quite frankly I was afraid of showing myself in public spaces because I was really wary of the people in Discord - hearing all the stories of them being weird, degenerate, etc. I think I hit the jackpot with this server, because it subverted pretty much any and every bad expectation I had with public spaces. Having fun with people who love hololive as much as I do really made me love hololive even more - this was AFTER I bought tickets for 2nd Fes and ćBloom,ćfrom my own pocket.
Then Rushia got terminated. She was undeniably my kamioshi. It left such a big gap in my heart that I was never the same hololive fan. I watched less streams. I tuned in to hololive news less. I stopped actively browsing for hololive tweets. Eventually it reached a point where I can't be bothered to watch anything related to hololive anymore. Even when -Advent- debuted, even when Koseki Bijou debuted, even when Re:GLOSS and FLOW GLOW debuted, I just could not have the same energy I had before with hololive, despite my several attempts into getting back on track. The burnout got to me. I didn't care much for 4th Fes. Didn't even know 5th and 6th Fes happened. All the graduations that came in 2024 and 2025ā¦ I only felt numb seeing the news. I couldn't feel anything. I thought I truly fell out with my love for hololive.
That was until New Years Eve 2025. I thought to myself "well I have a bunch of free timeā¦ I'm getting bored with playing gamesā¦ hololive is doing a New Years Eve streamā¦ why not join in?" The stream really reminded me how much fun I had watching hololive streams. All the laughs, all the emotional moments, the togetherness I felt with fellow fans. This was the moment where I truly got back on trackā¦
And I think that's what made 7th Fes. so much more special to me than previous hololive Fes. I'm so glad I'm in this server. I'm so glad that I got to experience the joy of watching hololive again with people. I'm so glad that I can cheer on the holomems. I love the energy here. The concerts really reminded me of how much I love hololive again, and I don't think that would change for the future.
Here's to many years together, folks. I know this is all sappy and whatnot but it's all genuine from me. Hopefully there's a hololive-related event happening on May, because I'll be going to Japan by then!

Ngl being a holofan is the most challenging fandom i've ever been to. Typical as an otaku, I've been in numerous fandoms: anime, manga, gacha games, touhou, you name it but being a holofan is the one with the most emotional roller coaster with all these graduations and dramas. However, despite it all, I won't trade it for anything else because it cannot be denied that holo helped me through difficult moments in time and hearing these girls' stories have made me a better person, more understanding and more perseverant

2nd holofes I watched in here with everyone and that after being overall interested but never having something I called an oshi.
Watching on and off from sime time around Advent debuted, curious about Justice and here we are.
Finding an oshi in 2025, becoming much more active in here and bam - seeing them perform at fes together with all the other girls.

Finally rewatched all of 7th FES. Compared with my initial feelings when watched live, it's still pretty close. While Stage 4 on paper should have been a clear winner with the number of Divas on the roster, Stage 2 and 3 ended up being really impactful for me. Stage 2 had 3 had the freshness of a gen's first time at FES. Justice was a riot. And Riona and Bae performances were prob the best numbers out of this whole FES.
Some rewatch notes: The whole assumption thing we had in live chat for the final solo being the same Holomem that kicks the stage off after the opening ensemble performance was actually shot down way before Bae defied our expectations. Stage 2's kicker was actually Miko and not Sora, who did end up with the closing solo.
Some scenes are fixed up in the VOD. Primarily Bae's solo.
Some of Stage 4 audio mix was still not great for some of the members. Moona's set was a strong victim of this.
