It can depend on your position I think, I was close to the center screen so the black barriers in between the screens were a few seconds where we technically get a "blind spot"
but I've talked to someone else who was further from the center screen and they said it's a bit more seamless

But essentially, it's a big screen slightly elevated above (maybe 2-4ft?) from the floor (the one all the band members is performing), then you have the two TV screen that's much more high quality on each of the side.
There's also a slight delay between the main screen and the two TV (the TV was like .500ms ahead)

And looking back at the setlist, it only got two medley performances (one solo, one group) versus three in the other two stages. (Stage 1 had two solos, one group. Roboco's solo was absolutely incredible, but Ina's performance right after that marked the start of an emotional turn during Stage 3. Ina impresses me more every new performance: she puts so much work in over the years and she's become such a dazzling performer. I was already welling up from that when Gura came on stage and, uh, yeah. Everything after that seemed imbued with significance and nostalgia. Even Aki's hips.
(No really, seeing her and Choco together reminded me of their Crazy Beat in last year's Stage 1 – ah, nostalgia)

Yeah, I worked at a live event production company for a while (not vtuber related) and editors for the final video would often use the streaming camera director's cues as a skeleton but because they have the advantage of working in hindsight they'd make a lot of changes to improve the impact or to better capture part of a performance

I'm slowly going through each of the concerts, and I have a good feeling Stage 1 will end up being my favorite. I kinda knew it at the time as the days went on. A lot of my favorite members were on different stages, but the song choices just hit for me.
I will say though my favorite MC moments all came from Stage 2. Marine and Kobo were hilarious, Iroha was really cute with Lui, and I always love seeing Bae and Calli together. Those are at least the ones that I remembered the most.

I use yt-dlp with --downloader ffmpeg --hls-use-mpegts, which is what isn't working anymore for me. I tried omitting the flags, but it didn't work either. I'm pretty sure it's not a browser cookie problem. Even when it managed to look like it was downloading something (wasn't able to get it to do it again), it was just a stream of "failed to open segment" errors.

They changed how the requests are done, which oddly makes it simpler. The command I use is yt-dlp --embed-metadata --embed-thumbnail --merge-output-format mkv "Copied_Url" with no cookies needed, since the cookie data is copied inside that url request. Add a -F if you want to find all the formats supported since it doesn't select the best audio one automatically.

I figured it out! Like you said, --cookies was no longer necessary thanks to the info being in the URL, I didn't need to use the ffmpeg downloader either. The important thing was that I wasn't copying the URL correctly because the text I was copying from wasn't percent encoded properly. Now, even though it still warns about live HLS stream support, it still downloaded and merged the video and audio files correctly. Thank you!

Yeah, but because of the new policy and signature fields, there are some special characters in the link which I was copying that weren't percent-encoded. I was highlighting and copying the full link in the headers tab, but that link was percent-decoded.

i still stand by my point that known dancers with complex choreography should have very little to no crowd shots at all, you should be able to see the stage and the performer for the majority of the performance. Before the VOD updates, performances like banchou or kiara didn't have their choreo shown, so the fixes we have now are awesome to see

Make sure when copying the URL it is still percent encoded. Don't highlight and copy the decoded URL text preview.
This detail gave me the most trouble when trying to figure out how to use the new link format. There are special characters in there which don't work if they aren't escaped properly.
You still need get strongly recommend to use the --downloader ffmpeg and --hls-use-mpegts flags.

I think that might be due to the credentials being expired. Try refreshing the SPWN page and getting a new link.

it downloaded one mp4 at 6.68 GiB and then automatically moved on to what i assume is one of the audio files mentioned previously (though even though the file name mentions audio, its extension is still .mp4, so i'm a little confused, but this is admittedly not my area of expertise)
ok it finished downloading that and merged them into one mp4. briefly panned through and it appears to be fine?

tried doing it with the stage 2 vod. getting the same "Failed to open segment ## of playlist 0" error as before, though weirdly now it gives a mix of HTML error codes 500 and 403. occasionally also hits me with a "keepalive request failed for '<url>' when opening url, retrying again with new connection". after a few minutes it went back to the same loop of messages in my screenshot above
i mean, it does appear to be downloading something regardless of all those errors. the leftover .part file after interrupting the command has a size of several MB

No not really its more of a "quality" thing. It auto downloads the normal one so you're okay

TYSM, after going through several yt-dlp how to's and seeing your message, finally got it to work

No wonder, that's why I opted finding ones in reddit instead. But they assume you know how to get the links and use cmds so I couldn't get far. There was one I didn't try since it wasn't SPWN, had a good laugh while panicking
