During the first beta there is a Chalcaro story. Iirc it links directly to the main quest, there was a planned Chalcaro-Jiyan rivalry down the line but that plan has been scrapped to all hell

Xiangli Yao even appears much earlier during the beta phase instead of 1.2 on the live game, there's still traces of that if you go back to the opening scene of the story after we got the three puzzle pieces from Jinhsi

The part where we enter his room is one of such, Mortefi's role deciphering the sundial was planned to have him basically almost gave up and then came Xiangli Yao solving the box for him and the scathing remarks Mortefi has for the genius

1. people will embrace the change and riot against the order. it will cause a lot of dispute as ragunna now finds itself leaderless unless the Order is reformed and led by a new primus. Ragunna once more hosts Carnivale and Septimont (or just Lupa) comes to spectate the new carnivale

2. the people reject the change and instead want to stay with the status quo even though they know the order be sus. We get hunted down as heretics and are forced to flee to Septimont.
