My issue with the Rover Glazing/Gathering Wives thing in particular was how the 1.x series of stories felt like they focused on that and not on exploring said characters.
Romance is whatever but I just roll my eyes when it's not properly built or if we as the Rover aren't being challenged.
Rinascita still has you flirt but it doesn't make the character development or worldbuilding take a backseat to treat you like a badass when you haven't really earned it.
