I mean from observing like a couple games. There seem to be mainly two types of teams where the squad either goes to a very populated zone or they go really far. A lot of people just want to quickly get in on the action and just go to like what I presume is closer to the center and within the rings. Squads that go far out just do a looting simulator for 15 minutes.
From a beginner standpoint its not really ideal for me without much knowledge on movement(like wall bouncing) to immediately to the middle immediately ofc but at the same time its more fun that way
Going futher out can be especially unpleasant where squads are wiped because many just head to the center and get wiped
