master surgeon can do some fun stuff with flask automation by rolling flasks with gain 3 flask charges on hit
so as long as you don't get one shot, you basically heal by getting hit, kinda like a life version of aegis
alchemist on the other hand has more flask effect and doesn't really need to get elemental avoidance (except for freeze, since it's kinda annoying), so more defensive layers and faster mapping
alchemist does need a life flask tho

I noticed this when someone from KR came to buy something and then I started crafting, the delay was very noticeable. This is regardless how long your hideout instance has existed. I'm pretty sure this wasn't a thing before as far as I can remember, but I may be mistaken.
