Dia de los muertos has its own dates to be respectful I think it should be done before Halloween
It is celebrated mainly on 1st and 2nd of November, so one day after Halloween.
Sometimes including 31st of October.
😅 I mixed my October with November but yeah definitely should be done separately out of respect because it's not a Latin version of halloween it's a Cultural tradition to honor the dead
No worries, yeah I get that it is two different events, I thought the dates being so close would make it easier to have the two types of event together. Just like in the world with mixed cultures people can celebrate different things at the same time. In Tsuki Adventure it was celebrated and I really liked it.
Since they share this time-frame, perhaps changing the event name could give 'Dia de Los Muertos' the respect if desearves
'Halloween & Dia de Los Muertos' or 'Halloween de Los Muertos'
Make a newspaper from Benny, saying he had an idea to honor the dead (just to properly explain what Dia de Los Muertos is)
Tsuki could play music like a mariachi
Pipi painting Yori's face so her mom recognizes them
||(some religions don't believe in souls, so that detail might be offensive to some players, tho I think a foxy baby kid missing her mom shouldn't be offensive to anyone)||
or make it a week long event, from November the 1th to the 7th (tho mixing event's could make stuff stay at the store for longer)
Imo keeping it separate might be best, it would be nice to have the two events back to back like they are irl
One of the old halloween suggestions was: that the dead came back to give gifts for the living
||I feel like this suggestion belongs in this topic||
Imagine a cute moment between pipi, yori and her mom 😭
This would feel like cultural appropriation for us non Mexicans Lol
Don't worry, it's only cultural appropriation if Mexican Bunnys decide it is
It's they're culture, so it's they're call
||and they seem very interested in this event||
What if the train broke down with a mariachi band(or someone) on it and Benny throws a day of the dead celebration to welcome everyone. They have a concert with Paige and scarlet where Tsuki hopelessly tries to follow along. Boba and moca come together to make a sugar skull activity at the cafes as well as a range of different Mexican cuisines. Benny sets up a village ofrenda at town hall. Rosemary starts spreading a path of marigold petals over the village/ selling them. Pipi making the paper cutout banners with her dad, paige, or Tsuki. Dawn is building the altar for the ofrenda.
