Ad length does not have to be 30 seconds. Some longer ads will have a timer to say when you will get the reward, those usually will allow to end the ad early as long as it says reward completed (or something to that affect)

The other part is most likely a bug

The ads are controlled by some other ads team i believe

So the timer won't be in the hands of the Devs I think thinking

I was told this by a different game when I reached out to them about an ad issue, they had said ads are completely controlled by some external ads team

yeah ads are all plugins from ad providers and they have their own bugs that they fix on their end
