I found losing the most recent saved game. This is getting so annoyed to redo everything that we explored and collected stuff.

We are currently investigating this issue and if you can answer a couple questions it would give us a lot of extra data to help track the bug. Of course, I understand if you can't answer these questions or just are too frustrated to, goodness knows it is a very frustrating and annoying situation to be in. When you say you lost the most recent save, do you mean that when you loaded the game again, you were at a specific point somewhere earlier in your playtime? For example, it was like it loaded a save from an hour before you quit?

If it was like that, that it "rewound", is it like it rewound to the very start of the last play session, or had some amount of your progress in that session been saved?

When you quit the game, how did you do this ? Was it a crash, the Quit Game button, the Save and Quit button, or some other method?

I saved a game around 9:28 pm. When I loaded saved game, it was saved at 8:30pm.

Thanks, and the play session you loaded that had saved at 830pm, roughly when did you start playing?

So after about 2.5 hrs the game saved succesfully, but the next 1 hr of play it hadn't saved? That's super helpful, thank you

It happened today too. We started around 6:30pm and we check the file where it was saved 7:32pm once and saved 8:32pm once. We are trying to save the game but it is not working after.

Hiya, thanks for this info. We have a potential fix that is undergoing internal testing. We believe the issue can be triggered when two things cause the game to save simultaneously, such as a timed autosave coinciding with quest progression, or two players adding an item to a shrine simultaneously. This issue would be more likely to occur the longer your hard drive takes to save to disk.

While the fix is being tested, in the meantime, your game should autosave at least every 5 minutes. Any time the game saves, it should show a spinning spiral in the corner. If the game stops showing that spiral, or if your auto save file has not been updated in 10 minutes, you have likely hit this issue. I'm afraid there's no way to fix the issue once it has occurred in the current version, so you would need to quit and then reload whichever successful save was most recent in order to clear it out - though that is better than losing so much progress again.

Sorry it affected you again and thank you for your reports, they helped a lot when investigating.

We're really devastated that this issue has been affecting players. We've been working as hard as we can to trace it and any other issues affecting players in order to get fixes out as soon as possible, and I've also personally written up a technical analysis and retrospective blogpost about the save game issues specifically that we'll publish once the issues are resolved.
