As I said on Steam forum my game is not starting, it does but then no window is open even that Steam says that the game is running. As Gr0nd told me on Steam I looked to the logs, but in this route 'C:\Users*yourUser*\AppData\Local\Castaway\Saved' I only have a folder called SaveGames and inside of it a file called steam_autocloud.vdf. Thanks for the help!

I have the same issue which started happening after the update. It worked fine before. I can send a log file if needed. Thanks
Hello!
Hmmm, it seems it does not even create the log file then, which is good to know as well, thank you!
@stone needle, does it create a log file for you, when you try to launch the game? If it does, it would be highly appreciated π
Also, we've pushed out an update with a possible fix, so feel free to give it a go when you get a chance, thank you! π
@final quail thanks for that I have create another post about this (sorry ) and included a log file. RangarZ replied to my question. I have include the log file here as well. The update did not make a difference for me. My game failed to load after the main menu.
Thank you for the log, @stone needle! π
And I am sorry to hear the update did not help in your case, we will keep working on it!
For me the update didn't work either
Sorry to hear that, but do not despair, we will work this out I'm sure!
In the meantime, could you please try running the game by launching the IkoneiIsland.exe in the installation folder? The easiest way to find that folder would be by opening the Properties of the game on Steam, and then going to Installed Files tab, where you can then find the folder by hitting the Browse button.
Still not working even that I tried starting the .exe
@daring sorrel Mine is working now. I created an Epic account and deleted the saved games. Good luck !
Okay, I got couple more things you can try out then!

Try running the game while Steam is in offline mode

Try running the EpicOnlineServicesInstaller.exe from the same folder where the game exe is. If it does nothing, you might already have an older version installed, try uninstalling it and then run the installer again. You can find the older version by going to Windows
Settings->Apps->Apps & featuresand search for 'epic online services' in the search bar there -
Try launching the game with -ngxdisable parameter. You can do that by going into Properties of the game on Steam and then in the General tab you can then find Launch Options, where you just put the parameter in and then try to launch the game
also, sometimes it can take quite a while until it actually launches the game itself, have you tried waiting for like 10-15 secs after launching it? π€
Hi! Continuing this discussion from earlier:
#general-discussion message
I'm not certain that the logs are from that failed instance of the game, but if it ever happens again I will look out for that.
We did not try restarting Steam itself, we did restart the PC but that did not change anything.
I suppose Steam doesn't completely shut down when the laptop switches off? If I encounter the bug again, I will experiment with that and let y'all know
