Where do you find dirt?
I am trying to grow the icicle pear tree to unlock the dog but it has been 3+ days and the tree won’t grow.
My shovel is too weak to dig in any of the spots.

Try digging in just regular ground, not at the mounds of rocks & dirt. I think I got some that way, but that was months ago.

I’ve been doing that and I usually get rocks and branches, but I will keep trying different areas.

you can befriend a 
by feeding them with ||tomatoes|| too! you just need to hop around a bit until you find one who is asking for that.
you can find ||tomatoes by smashing scrap piles, btw.||
||btw, there's a tomato plant right next to the Highlands shrine ready to be pollinated. and some icicle pear ones scattered around Sunless Horn.||
