In the last decade, drones have become cheap enough, good cameras have become cheap, and headsets to control them have become advanced enough. Most recently shown during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, a $500 drone can take down a multi-hundred of thousand dollars 10 ton war machine. So I pose the question: Have tanks become obsolete within the last decade?
#Are tanks obsolete in the 21st century?

Idk tanks are reaching the end of their rope
But the idea of armoured box with gun that can’t be hurt will always stay as long as warfare stays generally the same
We need tanks. They are big boxes that can’t be killed. Just make them better & better
They're not obsolete because that's what they've been saying for a long time yet they're still building them so who knows really but I would say that they just need to find more anti-air protection capabilities to help shield of drone or missile attacks I don't know sh*t though
Unless warfare takes a massive shift then tanks will always be useful
As long as they have enough air support to stop drones, they will stay useful for the foreseeable future
When tanks fly, tanks can never be truly obsolete or looked upon as archaic
tanks dont fly
yeah but that's where it's hard
they are super good right now. reactive armor. and yet can still be killed by a $500 drone.
though these are russian tanks
it is yet to be used against an m1 abrams
Tell that to Soviet tank designers when they wanted airborne armor
?
this?
what is airborne armor
Thats what they said about the bow
