add a mod that displays discord messages in game while in fullscreen (ik game overlay is a thing but it doesnt work when fullscreened).
Would allow you to resize / move the popup around / choose if you get all notifications or just dms + more options to customise how it looks, minimalist mode etc. No clue how practical it is to make but sounds good on paper.
