Make it so video settings, mouse settings, etc are stored separately per MC version. This would fix the issue of your video settings and other things resetting when you switch between 1.8.9 and 1.21

lunar already has the option to use different folders for different versions

in the settings of a version in the launcher there is an option to use a different folder than the default one, just set 1.8.9 to a different folder and it should just work unless you play a lot of different versions
