Just because Lunar bought Badlion doesn't mean they are one client, they are still separate clients with separate cosmetics, separate mods, etc.

After the purchase, Badlion became really buggy, which is why many people switched, except for a few who didn't want to "lose" their cosmetics. That would be a first step.
