Ty, but I think they should also focus on this. Maybe devs from Hypixel, Lunar and other servers could work on this together cus Minecraft does have a pretty big cheating problem rn

Information:
While Hypixel’s anti-cheat, WatchDog, is considered to be the best server-side systems, cheaters are still common in lobbies, especially in gamemodes like BedWars and SkyWars. Badlion once introduced an anti-cheat system that was mandatory for players in tournaments on partnered servers. Players using BAC (Badlion AntiCheat) had a checkmark next to their name, indicating they weren’t cheating. However, over time, players found ways to bypass the system, and due to a lack of server adoption, Badlion AntiCheat shut down in June 2023.

Today, LunarClient is the most popular Minecraft client, widely used on competitive servers like Hypixel, Minemen Club, and PvPGym—particularly because it still supports version 1.7.10. Now, players can enable the all-new LunarClient AntiCheat (LCAC) in their version settings for multiple versions, including 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.21+, and more. With the Apollo API, servers could require LCAC for certain game modes or allow players to join lobbies exclusively with other LCAC users.

How it works:
LunarClient already has access to your mouse and keyboard inputs, as it uses them for features like the keystrokes and CPS counter mod. Meanwhile, servers (such as Hypixel) already track player movement since this data is sent to ensure other players can see your actions in real time. Many servers, including Hypixel, also use Apollo, LunarClient’s API, to disable mods that could provide an unfair advantage.

LunarClient AntiCheat (LCAC) would leverage Apollo to compare LunarClient’s key input data with the server’s movement data, identifying inconsistencies that suggest cheating. Depending on the severity of the detected issue, this could result in either a warning or a ban.
