#Java 23

there are no fabric mods that require java 23 iirc
All mods should work fine on Java 11, 17 or 21 as they're LTS versions. Any mods which require a newer version of Java should be removed or downgraded to support one of these versions.
some people say that c2me requires java 22 but thats not true and lunar doesnt even support c2me
i was referring to this
yeah ik
but i mentioned c2me as an example
so they know it can happen with other mods
and it also shows that lunar doesnt have to add java 23
because its a fabric loader issue that can happen with some mods
SeedMapper requires it
I mean if you're using mods with lunar, you're doing something wrong as lunar is known for having awful mod loader support
Just use normal fabric or forge which tend to work a lot better and don't have restrictions lunar implements
Well i personally really like the intigrated mods and would appreciate if they added this
There's a very low chance of them actually allowing custom runtimes due to various reasons such as less optimised, errors due to specific versions, and user error.
I mean i dont need a custon runtime
They could just add java 23 as an option
that's what I meant by custom runtime, it most likely won't happen
A custom runtime would mean being abled to use your own java installation
Hello, I am the dev of SeedMapper and it's indeed true my mod only works with Java 23
Using a newer Java version is mostly fine
All major launchers support custom Java runtimes, so I don't think it's too crazy of a suggestion
please make it support a LTS version
I would have if it was possible
Why is it not possible?
what other language do you use
