Let us be able to decide what fabric loader version we want it set to rather then having it set to 1.16.5 no matter what. This can help with incompatiblities with sodium related mods that simply cant be used with 1.21/1.21.1 (probaby effects more versions then that but I've only tested those 2 (Doesn't seem to be a problem with 1.21.4 or 1.21.3) ) Theres no reason not to do this and its rather annoying not to have access to mods like sodium that are essential for using fabric.

Me and many other players would apreciate if you fixed this problem.

agreed, it's super dumb that lunar only lets you use 1.16.5

Lunar's current implementation for fabric modloading doesn't allow for this due to some issues it might cause. In fact, this used to be an option when modloading first came out on lunar, and that setting was disabled shortly after to prevent potential issues.
So one thing to note is, once a while lunar bumps fabricloader to latest on their side, and as lunar improves its modloading system, what's suggested here will most likely, eventually be a thing, sometime in the future.

Lunar already bundles Sodium on all fabric versions

I wanna change the fabric loader version so it lets me go into the game but it just says o.16.5 reccomended
