After the Minecraft account migration, some accounts were not successfully migrated and are now inaccessible. Unfortunately, this also means any Lunar cosmetics linked to those accounts are lost. To address this issue, I suggest implementing a way to transfer cosmetics from unmigrated accounts to active accounts to ensure users don’t lose their purchased items.
#Transfer cosmetics from unmigrated account

Good idea
I support you
- Problem , Lunar Client can't know the previous account Owners - Accounts could be stolen 🙄
also technically people could buy such accounts and potentially get more cosmetics for a cheaper price what is against Minecrafts Eula and Microsoft Tos
from lunar cosmetics purchase TID
Read the second points
Allowing the transfer of cosmetics could work well if the owner can provide proof of ownership for both the account and the cosmetics. This would ensure the process stays fair and secure, while also allowing players to retain their cosmetics legitimately. It’s a balanced solution that respects both the community and Minecraft’s policies.
Even if they can provide the transaction I'd it won't proov much as I said those information can be bought
That’s a valid point. Transaction IDs alone might not be sufficient proof since they can be bought or obtained dishonestly. To make this work, additional verification steps, such as account history checks or linking the account to verified contact details, might be necessary to ensure the cosmetics truly belong to the account owner. This would help reduce the risk of abuse while still allowing legitimate transfers.
- Unmigrated accounts are the fault of the owner for not migrating.
- How can you prove you own the unmigrated account as you quite literally can’t login to it anymore
- Lunar TOS specifically state you can’t transfer cosmetics
- True but imagine losing tons of cosmetics
- Transaction ID and proving u purchased the Game via that acc before
- That's why he made Suggestion to make a change
But how do you know it’s really their account? With the amount of beaming and Account theft over time, you could get lucky and get an account with cosmetics. TID isn’t really impossible to get if the email used was the beamed/cookie email
you could check how many IPs have login to the Email and if you see multiple countrys then its a Cookie email and so on
you can also always check if a IP is VPN it isnt really hard
There are alot of sections that you can do to proof it
you cant..
why would lunar do that work, why would someone let lunar login to their account and why would microsoft make an api for security checks?
yeah
you can
it onyl shows the last 30 days
Nope
not lifetime, you’re not accounting for dynamic ips, family shared accounts
for me it doesnt for example
ips as a security check is flawed
It seems like you just dont want smthing to be changed
since it is realisticle possible to transfer cosmetics and it is pretty ez todo it and proof ownership of the acc
its about providing the ownership information
Re read what i said
the way the current system is designed shows inherent flaws.
U dont even read no point into arguing bye
Proving ownership of an unmigrated Minecraft account can be tricky but generally involves providing key pieces of original account information that are difficult to fake or obtain from third parties. Here are some methods that could be used:
-
Original Transaction ID:
- If the account was purchased, the original transaction ID or receipt is one of the most reliable ways to prove ownership. This ID is typically provided in the confirmation email from Mojang or the platform where the account was purchased.
-
Email Access:
- Access to the email address linked to the account is a strong indicator of ownership. This would show that the person attempting to prove ownership has control over the registered email.
-
Account History:
- Information such as the account's username history, server participation, or unique player data (like player UUIDs) could be cross-referenced.
-
Security Questions:
- If the account had security questions set up, answering them correctly would add another layer of verification.
-
Proof of Cosmetic Ownership:
- Screenshots of in-game cosmetics (like capes) associated with the account, combined with timestamps or metadata, can help prove ownership. And also by Lunar purchase Transaction ID.
-
Mojang Support Records:
- Any prior interactions or tickets with Mojang support regarding the account could help verify ownership.
For security, it's also crucial to combine multiple forms of evidence, as no single method is foolproof against exploitation.
usage of chatgpt is not encouraged in a civilised discussion, please refrain from ever engaging in community posts if your intention is to cause offence or harm
I doubt this will be a "feature" necessarily that will be added, and I believe we normally do not do cosmetic transfers at all, but you could try making a ticket (#📩︱create-ticket) and see what support has to say about your lost cosmetics.
Alright, thanks!
This is a good idea bro i think they should consider taking this advice
huh?
his message was written by chatgpt
he can’t seem to speak for himself so he has had to use an AI to convey his message
ofc, but some people just arent good at expressiing themselves. i don't know why that is causing offence or harm to you.
the profile is clearly intended to be offensive to some people and I severely dislike the use of ChatGPT when having a civil discussion. it not only adds a robotic feel, it makes the person seem like they lack the intelligence to speak for themselves. I would understand if they’re not a native English speaker but the OP is american, a country where english is natively spoken…
they said theyre american?
their initial message suggests so, it’s got perfect english
how do you know theyre american from that đź’€
they don’t use features found in other dialects of english
why couldnt it be british or australian english
also not everyone who spells with american english is american
a lot of people learn english from a variety of sources
its not using shorthands commonly found in british and australian english, the writing style uses american grammar and structure. it’s either made by chatgpt or an american. Most non native english speakers mix every dialect so you can tell if they’re native or not.
cn you give me examples
don’t, couldn’t, haven’t, can’t, wouldn’t
you're... saying that other kinds of english dont use contractions?
americans dont
they’d say “burned”, not “burnt” for example
burnt isnt a contraction
its just a different word used in american english
it means the same thing as burnt
its like color vs colour
its an example
to show americans don’t use that sort of language
americans type in a distinct way
its easy to spot if you hang around them enough
its mostly simple, basic english compared to “commonwealth” English
alright...
as someone who lives in canada, and thus sees a lot of commonwealth and basic English, i've never noticed it
Cool idea i would love to see this get implemented!
