#lunar client keeps crashing when
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
are you able to click upload crash logs when it happens
and then send your MC username in here so I can look it up?
hm, that seems like a graphics driver issue
can you go into your Nvidia settings and set Minecraft/Lunar to performance
i just installed the latest gpu driver, but ill check again
do you mean the geforce now settings?
yhhh I am not 100% sure tbh
I don’t have a windows machine
@crystal magnet do you know?
I don't have an NVIDIA graphics but I'm pretty checking for updates can be done on geforce experience under the drivers section
also if you want to add the game you also should do that with geforce experience
so you add lunar's javaw.exe and set it to high performance
@vale hornet are you still facing that problem
how do i add lunar to the games, it wont find it with scanning
navigate to this path first C:\Users\%username%\.lunarclient\jre
you'll find a folder with a long name, open that
(you see a zulu folder, open that as well) go to bin and the javaw.exe file will be it
im not able to find it
it says it doesnt exists
press Win + R and type in .lunarclient and hit enter
then go through the folders manually jre > the other folder > the zulu folder > bin
then right click on the javaw.exe file and choose propertis, and copy the file location
then use that to find it while adding it
okay i found it, where do i need to use it after i copied it?
in geforce experience under games and apps where you click add
you can paste that in the file path section
okay, so did you select the folder? you should be able to scan again now and it should show up
even when i select the javaw.exe path and hit scan it only scans my other games it already scanned
ah alright, we can try another way
- In Windows search, type in Graphics settings and hit the Enter key.
- Click the Browse button.
- Navigate to
C:\Users\%username%\.lunarclient\jre - For each folder, go into the zulu folder, then bin.
- Look for and double click
javaw.exe - Click on Zulu Platform x64 Architecture, then press Options.
- Select the high performance graphics card and relaunch your game.
follow this. instead of the path this says, use the path you previously copied
okay, can you go to .lunarclient > logs > game and send the newest log file there in here
Okay and are you able to provide a screenshot from the options section in graphics settings, plus a screenshot from your launcher's resolution section
can you uncheck launch in fullscreen and set the resolution to your monitor's and try again?
also change your amount of ram allocated to 3gb and when you press launch and the game tries to show up, switch to another screen like discord so it doesn't launch in fullscreen
i have it on 8gb is that a problem?
- it shows up red instead of the dark blue/gray
i play on streched res
your logs don't seem to be memory-related but you should keep it on 3/4 if you have 8 in total
use 1920 x 1080 to launch it for now
you don't need more than 4 allocated anyways
no way?
ok so it's a fullscreen only issue
yup
hmm okay
normally or when you go fullscreen
only when i go fullscreen
okay so
when you launch the game go to video settings > other
there's a slider for fullscreen mode
change that to your monitor's resolution
that's nothing special though, it's different everytime you crash
ah oke
let me search something up real quick and I'll be back
alr, i'll wait
Okay I'm back. I might have to ask for more screenshots this time. Go to your NVIDIA control panel, under Display, click Change resolution and send a screenshot from that.
okay, do you see a button there as "customize"
yea
click that customize button
and then check "Enable resolutions not exposed by the display" and then click Ok
yeah give it a try
no way?
full screen
oh my gosh okay ggs
thanks for helping out
perfect, have a good day
u too!
You don't update nvidia drivers through control panel
Yeah I literally just realized after that
@tame narwhal i can talk here while muted, idk if you can fix this but here it is
