Lunar is losing a lot of players due to unbanned modifications with the nametag mod. On these clients like BLC and Feather client, you can change the outline/fill color/text color of nametags. This helps players to track their opponents through walls easier instead of having to look closely for a small gray box with their opponents name in it. Some players, like myself, are unable to access these clients as a result of, for example, BLC requiring admin privileges to launch. This addition of the nametag mod customizability would allow more players who have switched clients to re-assess their decisions, and would just be a nice addition.

@hardy prism You can get fullbright in vanilla by editing gamma, togglesprint is a feature added in modern versions, cosmetics are by choice. I'd say the most unfair thing is zoom, but even then, all it does is change your fov

as i said it depends a LOT on what you consider unfair, i personally don't think that any of these should be banned/removed as mojang isn't going to add it anyways

The point is this, backporting features is ok, but changing the visual aspect of a nametag, specifically for the purpose of better visibility, isn't the client's job. The server can make people glow etc. but it isn't suitable for lunar to do it
