Not to be critical but like in the ice island thing, youve used 12 prefabs..
yeah so? don't seems to be a problem instead it makes the map look better
I mean, yea, it looks fine. Some are outta place tho, some just look horrible. Your also not being commisioned to spam prefabs everywhere :/
well, people like it though. I got good responses from quite a good creators. also prefabs are ment to use aren't they?
and can you tell which has problem and why
😠Didnt realise how many there is. Most of them just dont match the overall style. Some are designed to be seen from the inside only, yet they are placed in the open. Theres a few that are rotated weirdly too.
I think these may be prefabs too
these too ðŸ˜. These do kinda work tho
understood the point of being weirdly rotated and some inside design only. but whats the problem with prefabs? most of the maps uses prefabs
i do agree too
Most maps dont. When people commisions maps, they are looking for original designs and things. If they wanted prefabs, they would just place them down themselves. Why pay someone to drag and drop premade things when you can just drag and drop things themselves
^^^^^
okay, got it. thanks for your review I will work on it in my upcoming maps
I will say, if you want to use prefabs, use them to fill out of bounds areas or as background assets seen from far away
sure. can you also explain you said some of the assets doesn't match the theme. what do you mean by that? can you point out any?
.
Can do. So, the main 2 points of interest on this map seem to be the red area over by the left, and the other industrial area in the bottom center. The left area is fine. The other one has a mix of the red, some yellow and some blue. Theres no defining color scheme, which makes the poi look out of place. Furthermore, both sets of prefabs (frosty flights and the rig) are from 2 different art style eras, which clash. Furthermore, the theres a random sanctuary building placed above. That color scheme is supposed to be used for grass/jungles areas. The design style for that prefab is more primitive and primal, which wouldnt exist on an glaciated island. Furthermore, the island has no visible infrastructure. Thers no homes or anything, yet there is a water tower and pylons which lead nowhere, making them useless. The resistance prefabs (drill and docking deck) add nothing to the island. The dusty depot warehouse is fine, tho it could do with being removed or replaced. The one shiny shafts looks hella out of place. Uts color scheme is whach, it stcks out of the rest of the island, which pulls players towards it (which i asume you dont want as its at the edge and not anywhere centeral and important). The impostors ones are designed to be underground and look messy from the outside. The lighthouse is a bit random but i get it i suppose.
