After receiving help from the community this bug is solved. A work-a-round has been found.

The Issue:
After the most recent update to Fortnite, and UEFN; I started receiving an error on a project i was working on. The error i get can be found in the image.
The error states that the project is using version 37.51 of UEFN. From my research version 37.51 does not officially exist in the public domain, and 37.50 is the most recent version of UEFN.

In my attempts to remedy this issue i tried:

  1. Verifying UEFN, and Fortnite Download Files.
  2. Reinstall of UEFN, and Fortnite Files.
  3. Cache Clearing, and Full clean reinstall of UEFN, and Fortnite in a new directory.
None of these solutions fixed the problem.

The working solution for this problem is:

  1. Navigate to your project files [projectname].uefnproject and edit the file.
  2. Change the "compatibilityVersion" to the correct or current version of your UEFN Editor.
  3. Save and Close.

Im unsure how to reproduce this issue. I have no idea how my project upgraded to a version of UEFN unavailable to the public, when my editor version did not match.

37.51 was the update this week

# uncut flicker 37.51 was the update this week

If that's the case, my editor is refusing to update to the new version. I have done all of the reinstalling and verifying AFTER the update so it should be 37.51 but it is stuck in version 37.50 for some reason.

#

i figured reinstalling the editor would install the latest version but it just put me back on 37.50 which is why i thought 37.51 wasnt released.

The .01 updates tend to just be battle royale patches but this one included some other bug fixes. Definitely came out last week.

Is there a way i can check for updates in the editor or in epic manually? I have auto-update enabled for both UEFN and Fortnite but my editor wont update. Can i force it to somehow?

#

am i just stuck on this version?

My advice is to raise it on the forum, they dont read bug reports here generally
