#what is the point of the "creative/uefn feedback" forum

I'm not trying to be mean about it but I and many others have had an issue with fnc and uefn for months and there hasn't been a sign of an fix being worked on.

Even when I try to go somewhere else like the actual epic forums for uefn I can't post cause I'm not 18, and Fortnite's support ticket system is no help cause all they say is "oh it looks fine" even tho it doesn't at all. Then they just close the ticket like there work is done when they didn't help at all.

Again I'm sorry if it comes off as mean I'm just really annoyed about it

Some issues have been fixed from there even tho they were mentioned nowhere else, but I remember a dev saying how they don’t really read the feedback in here bc it’s more chaotic

Hello A_Hornet -- do you mean on the EDC forum or the one here in discord? The one in discord is not the official feedback we look at -- but it has been requested by the community so we added it with the disclaimer that we want to direct the community to our official forums. That's where our devs mainly work and review feedback. The feedback forum channel on Discord is mainly for the community to share with eachother for those who would rather only chat on Discord. The benefit of our EDC forum feedback is that it actually logs automatically into our system internally and is tracked as well with the upvotes -- which makes it super easy for us to see what the community feels is a priority. We're unable to link Discord to our back end, so that's why we prefer the community feedback live on the forum! Hope this helps!

There are multiple things constantly overlooked on the forums, not as much as the discord but still.

Every time I send a feedback post the only response I, and other people too, really ever get is "[USERNAME] Thank you for your feedback. While I cannot guarantee a response, I can confirm that this has been forwarded to the appropriate team."

I mean yeah, it says no response is guaranteed right in the middle of the comment, but at this point with how much we're ignored it feels like the mods are just finding a way to tell us to shut up without saying the direct words 'shut up.'

I now feel like it's pointless to post in the either the Forums OR the Discord, rendering both as useless

Thanks for the feedback Hero! That is an automated response that means it's been logged, then -- the more upvotes it gets, it helps sort for priority! As far as feedback goes when regarding requests -- that's different than issues.

I made one post discussing UEFN favoring and the current state of Discover, on both the Forums and the Discord.

Epic has not responded at all when it comes to that topic, and with what you said about up votes makes it seem like popularity is the only way I can get Epic's attention.

I’m glad we finally got a definitive answer with the community feedback stuff, ty for the answer. But I do definitely think that just like this server feedback channel, some devs should pop in there every once and a while just to maybe comment on some stuff as I do think that each feedback forums are so different with wants, bug fixes, etc. that it’ll be good to get information from both sides

Also, from what I see, there is a big split with how people report in each feedback forum with the one in here being a lot more hectic, but a lot more creative related, but a lot more vocal and a lot more interactive. While the epic games forums are way more towards UEFN and are a lot more organized, but less interactive than discord

So also being able to take feedback from 2 sides would be beneficial just to see what both sides of the most prominent communities want

I agree with those observations, Discord is more active. However, EDC / forums are owned by Epic and also tied to our back end -- so that's the best tool for this and the best one for getting your feedback into our system. We built a system on the forums (because we own that site) for gathering your feedback to streamline it -- because Discord wasn't working well for getting into our process quickly. Epic's dream is for everyone to be there and utilizing all the tools and info there is to offer on EDC. We can continue to update it and make it the best it can be -- as a one-stop-shop resource for all developer / creator needs! And that's the long answer for why I direct you there.

All of that said, I have shared yours (and others) feedback with wanting to include Discord into the process if possible.

I totally see why you would want everyone to go to the forums now, I didn’t know it actually logged bugs, knowing that has actually made me wanna post some bugs that Ik in there so they can get logged into the system and seen (and hopefully patched). But yeah, I can definitely see how discord can be janky, and how some people aren’t serious about forum posts in discord like on the official forums. Hopefully one day we will either all go to the official epic forums and utilize the tools there or epic will be able to make a system and/or bot that will be able to hear feedback on a lot of platforms and log all of it so it can be heard.

But it’s also amazing to hear that epic have heard feedback of discord wanting to be heard, that makes me hopeful for a better future with communication.

I was thinking of a discord bot that would record down the forum posts the same way that the epic games forums does, but hopefully something!

It's good to know that someone responds to these posts sometimes and that discord posts going to the forums is being looked into though.

I also think something like the stuff I said in #1205571166203547749 and my lock on pistol post (couldn't find it to link here) would have been said in the forums already. I'm not sure on that but if it did I feel like that could have been fixed already

But obviously im not a dev so idk what is going on behind the scenes so I don't know what is taking top priority but it would be nice to be told what bugs/issues/features are being worked on right now and when we can expect them to be fixed

A great example of this is the sims 4 "Laundry list" of bugs that they are working on fixing in a close update
