So nice to see someone looking into developing custom NPC behaviours. Are you finding any issues with it keeping up with faster movement?
Yes it can run away from you through the walls if boosted and then respawn at it's base. Decided to not fix it for the first release.
I've just started doing some work with the perception device if you need any code snippets for giving the AI the ability to notice players and a reaction time based upon how far away they are
Assuming its possible to reliably move the device with the NPC of course
I suppose if they have an AI interval of like 1s then teleporting the device to match their transform wouldnt be an issue
