That's pretty cool but sure seems like you're playing with fire by using the original map asset and by telling people that it's directly meant to be Dark and Darker. Why not make your own mode that is heavily inspired by Dark and Darker instead? That way Epic will be more likely to approve it.

He said that the assets were in an unreal engine marketplace asset, there’s nothing wrong with that.

I'll clarify some things, which are in the news articles by the way, but I'll write it here anyway.
Apart from the image on the top right, which is publicly accessible just by googling it, I DID NOT rip anything off the game, nor it is possible to use cooked assets inside a UEFN project (apart from being against the ToS and guidelines).
I bought the assets with my own money, which, like @sullen loom said, are available on the Epic's Unreal Marketplace. Therefore I am free to use them however I like. That's the goals of buying assets from that marketplace.
The actual level was created from playing the game myself, and watching hundreds of hours of youtube videos of gameplay. Just stopping, looking at it, creating the level, watching it again, adjusting, and rinse and repeat.

I thought it was more than clear that this is not meant to replace the actual game. This IS a mode that is heavily inspired by Dark and Darker. That's what UEFN is for. Also, the most ironic thing Epic did, was telling us not to recreate games, or even do fan-made renditions of them, and then they go on and launch UEFN with a map called Deserted: Domination which, in their own words: "Inspired by Call of Duty's Domination mode, Epic Labs created Deserted: Domination in UEFN." Looks like COD, feels like COD, plays like COD, uses game mechanics from COD.

Yeah the whole thing I'm talking about is the image in the top right. It doesn't matter that it's publicly accessible by a google search. If you take that out, and you don't name it "Dark and Darker", then you're good.

Epic never said you can't do modes that are inspired by other games, you just have to not violate their copyright and IP rights. So don't use ANY of their assets, don't call your name by the original name, etc.

To be clear I'm not trying to be a downer, I just want to make sure you do the right stuff to get Epic to approve the map. This map in particular is going to be under a lot of scrutiny because the people who made the original game are already in a legal battle over this same kind of stuff.
