The developers who make the game know exactly what happened the last time they ran this event, and have done nothing to mitigate those issues this time. They have outright gone against the assurances they gave this community two years ago, and are promoting an environment of subjugation, denigration, predatory behavior, and exploitation. As this game has several age groups present per locality, the developers are making the active choice to allow this event back in with no changes.
And they're telling people to just not be like that. That doesn't work.
What works is not doing the event again. Then there won't be issues.
