Basically fast undead, however to not be confused with pouncers, these guys run, they have like a red glint as their eyes

Health: 24
Type: Light, undead
Speed: Faster than crawlers by a bit, like 5 or 10%
Gold: 125
Gems: 51(on purpose)
Ability: Tackle
Dps: 15% of a unit's hp if tackled, but for swordwrath, around 20)
Pop: 3
Notes: A runner CANNOT hit with melee, they can only tackle, when they tackle a unit, they start vomiting or clawing at the unit they tackled and there is a chance a vomit may inflict poison on the tackled unit that lasts for 15 seconds, also a runner cannot tackle a giant, or heavy classes, for speartons, the speartons can be tackled if they are not blocking, however they cannot be tackled if the spearton is blocking, this go for any characters that can use their shields, also if a runner tackles a undead, like a zombie, they can't inflict poison, but they will still claw at the tackled

Also when a unit is tackled, they cannot be attacked by any other enemy units, however zombies can pile on the unit (maximum of 4) to speed up the runner's kill, while they are devouring the poor unit, the unit can be saved by a giant slam, or any that deals like splash damage that stuns them, or just kill the runner directly
(Easter egg, if 2 runners tackle eachother at the exact same time, both will be stunned and play like a downed animation, and they'll be each damaged by 5 up)

#

What???

#

51 pain

#

Stawph, this is hurting me mentally

#

Why so specific on swords, they're already being fvked by the meta

#

This is so fragile a single archidon could solo probably 3 of them at once

#

This is so bad, I can't fathom-

#

Wtf even are their damage

#

Oh my god

#

😭

tulip arrow
#

give them the heavy tag and swords will stand a little more chance

unborn viper
#

Swords still beat them

tulip arrow
#

they don't have singular damage just percental dps

#

and for some reason a flat 20 against swordwrath

unborn viper
#

I'm biased here cuz I'm a perfecionist but their gimmick really just sucks

tulip arrow
#

they pin an enemy unit down rendering them invisible to your allies
then they take about 7 seconds to kill it

#

for swordwrath it's 4 seconds
with armory upgrades it becomes 5 seconds

unborn viper
#

With the crystal cost they're way too expensive to be viable as early game units, they do counter every single light melee but nobody brings zero tanks in their deck

#

You'd also have to heavy micro them to even get a single droplet of usefulness cuz they're so fcking fast yet also fragile

#

Your supporting units with them would be long behind

#

Their basic attack is literally just them rendering themselves useless and unable to retreat, and wouldn't matter anyways because of their egregious hp

#

This unit may actually be impossible to balance because of their gimmick

new stats
light dead / pop 2 / trains 10 sec / 100gold 50mana
30hp , weird atk , very fast speed (crawler)

Tackle: pins down a light unit and begins dealing 15% dps based on the enemy's health. it may inflict poison for 15 seconds (cannot poison other deads). non-blocking speartons can also be tackled.

blocking speartons and other heavy units simply receive 5 damage

tackled units cannot be targeted except by 3 more Runners.
any form of stun/knockback frees the unit from the runner's hold.

Runners cannot be tackled but rather receive 5 damage and 2s stun

alrite crimon
this was very difficult

#

i ended up just summarising their gimmick in a shorter way

#

15% of a units HP is insane

#

That's 15% of a giant's health gone

#

150 HP in a single pounce

tulip arrow
stoic inlet
#

Oh okay good

#

Still 15% is crazy

#

Not even a flat number

#

Take xiphos

tulip arrow
#

7 seconds

#

more accurately 6.6 seconds
