This is more than just a rework; it could be seen as a replacement for the outdated spell, which has practically useless. While the idea of a spell for scouting the opponent is interesting, it’s not really worth using if it just occupies a slot for that effect alone. I’ve come up with a new spell that could replace Illuminate, one that’s versatile and can be used both for scouting the enemy and dealing damage from a distance. It could also be especially useful against turtle strategies.
Enthrall
A vampiric spell that converts enemy Miners to your control, sending them to automatically attack their original owner's base. You gain vision of the enemy base as long as the Miners remain alive.
Every 60 seconds, gain 1 stack of Enthrall. Casting Enthrall consumes all stacks, converting one enemy Miner, plus one additional Miner per stack, into your faction, granting vision of their base as long as they remain alive. Maxes out at 5 stacks. Additionally, if cast with max stack it converts all opponent's miners. Can also be cast without stacks, converting only one Miner.

I know, it's a very powerful spell that directly targets the opponent’s miners. To prevent it from being overpowered, it should have a high mana cost, and to limit abuse, I’ve incorporated a stack mechanic inspired by Scorch, with a long timer to avoid it being spammed early in the match. Since it's a spell, it naturally synergizes with Summoning Staff, imagine sending the opponent’s miners against them and then summoning some deads on top of that. A nightmare! I've done my best to balance the mechanics, but without being able to test it in-game, I can't say for sure whether it’s too overpowered or too costly.
