why?
i don't hate it (you got art, that's W 🔥
better than 70% of unit posts on this channel) but it's not nessessary
when you make units, give em a purpose (for this economy unit, ya, well, give it a reason to use over the other two - it's just slow and weak)
It costing 50 gold and 1 population is already a huge difference, and he said it throws the gold at your base like a Toxic Dead instead of dropping it like a normal miner

although they don't need to move much so that's fine ig
1 crawler raid at start of the game can damage your economy by quite a lot
also when they retreat
Yah, so these things are basically going to be the most vulnerable things to exist. But hey, they're cheap and they don't have to move that much since they're ranged economy units.

Miners are already easy enough to kill without being zombies
Being a dead would also slow them down, making them even worse miners
And that bag is not comparable to the bigger miner bag.

i liked the original idea about how it tosses the stuff back to base to gain resources without moving much
now it suddenly sounds boring
Tossing the gold seems really unique
The tossing speed must be in the same time as mining or a bit longer than the other economy units to compensate for the less time needed walking and stuff

So it's what you get if Salvager's Smithy and Toxic Deads had a baby. People already talked about how that could go wrong in a lot of ways, so I'm just gonna talk about how the way it gives gold makes no sense and how it isn't even worth the investment. You're paying 50 gold for an extremely fragile ranged unit that eats gold mines then uses said gold as projectiles, and that somehow makes this thing give 20 gold everytime it kills an enemy unit. It dies to 1-2 shots from most units and is slow af, units with +dmg to lights like sickles and everything with splash/AOE/crowd control would be its worse nightmare. Just not worth the slot, population, time (shares same queue as other light units), resources, and risk to use these things. It actually sounds like an even worse investment than Vault of Prudence
And how much damage does it do

the absurd health, lower mining speed/bag capacity already compensated

It's easy to do a dead empire because you could copy and paste some stuff and not include some other stuff,put in a few lore and that's a dead empire
