#Pocket Merics

that would make the Meric always target that unit
and his AI to follow that unit specifically
?
???
instead of the Meric healing the most wounded unit in his range, indepedently of who is nearby, the meric will always heal whoever he is told to heal
and when the specified unit walks Meric would follow it around
I feel like that'd be too complicated
how so?
And you can kinda already do that with army controls
cooldown + costs crystls
A single meric is 2 times more expensive than HHW...
I don’t see much reason to have merics focused targeting other than being too extra and easily abusabke mechanic
yeah but no cooldown
Just make them not follow UC units
thats completely against the point of this idea
i mean
having like 3 Merics heal your general and your general only
or you could go with Thera having that ability for her merics
it wouldnt be too op
HHW also doesn't take up pop and can be a quick heal for your tanks
You can already do that with army controls
Just keep the merics and the general away from the main army so that only the general can be healed
I don’t want an abusable mechanic integrated to a unit by default
what if i want the general to go frontlines
Your problem, the tanks need healing more, the merics will heal the tanks
"if too unbalanced make it exclusive to Temple Upgrades or make it an Enchantment"
That won't fix the balance of it, just make it more unbalanced
see? your goal is to get a general healed during fights, which id say is extremely powerful
yeah but that would make the nearby units NOT be healed by the merics
making them more vunerable
It's the problem that HHW has, it's able to heal the spear general by a lot
and, its exactly what the devs are avoiding, turning merics to battle healers
aren't they battle healers??
Just cycle through units and then make merics heal the other units once your general is healed enough
They're healers, but not exactly battle healers
yes, but what i mean are healers that excel during combat
merics should excel outside combat
i mean that for only 1 SINGULAR UNIT wouldn't be that op man
HHW proves that wrong
we have generals and giants
they are singular
Generals usually die last in battle anyways
- Opponents can just Control a unit to kill the merics
if they want to
or use spells
fan ideas gay
yeah, requires the enemy extra effort to win against you while you have this mechanic on merics for free
sounds fair?
Because people HAVE to keep them safe from damage to benefit from them, with this feature, they'll be able to benefit from the melee general's stats and still get healed to being able to backline snipe again
having merics by your side already makes it an extra effort to kill you
Depends
applies to you too because pop and cost
Also, if your general even dies in battle, you're doing something wrong, your general shouldn't be dying at all
What's the health stat of midnar?
500
How though
Like editing it beforehand?
I'm a literal Modder and I do understand where you're going but
That's another problem I brought up
It'd be too complicated
when clicking on a Meric mid game, you can select a button which would allow yo click another unit
the unit clickedd would be the one the meric follows around
The SW2 Modder of the Council has been confused
Besides, something similar to this is possible in the game while also having a fitting downside
Hmm
what is the downside of manipulating army controls
minmaxxing?
Bruh
It's the control
you can essentially superbuff units
You'll have to keep both the merics and the general from the actual battle, so you won't benefit much from the general's stats (unless ranged) and if you have mana burst, meric sacrifice will be harder since the meric will be far away
This too ^
And this requires genuine effort and skill too
ok i have a soltution
