In the old game of stick war legacy the skins gave the units buffs that helped them in battle, so why not take those buffs and put them into the saga version, however the only way to activate the buffs entirely would be that all units would have to be wearing the same skin in their own faction (savage skins for all order, infected for all chaos, then those units get the buff) and thats how it would work

Skins are supposed to be cosmetics.
The reason legacy has skins with effects is because it is a single player game.
You can't call out a single player game for having a negative effect on the other players because they are not fighting each other.
Online games being pay to win will tear it's community apart.we have seen this with escape from tarkov.

its actually 50 gems per game needed to unlock, so if it costs 8 games to unlock thats 400 gems needed
