these tags can be set at mind or be disregarded, the current tags is useful to assign their actual traits, not just their roles/playstyle.

for example, without the current tags i could assume that zarek is a heavy unit because he is tanky and slow, but then he actually takes bonus dmg to light and is affected by rage. like wise i can assume albowtross as lights since they wouldn’t be that tanky.

or i wouldn’t know that deads are not affected by RoR and is less resistance to poison, and maybe i could think that ripriders are chaos unit and thus would have an auto heal

#

unless you don’t mean it as a rework and more on as an extra tag added along with the current ones

#

also, there would be more tags that would actually matter in game, that is magic, ranged, melee, deads, giants, and special. which tells what army formation they are included

lunar stream
#

If a new feature gets added that arranges units by their tags, this would be neat

#

and you cant just assume everything on your mind, most games have various classes

broken marlin
#

it would still matter less than tags that has actual effects

#

im not saying these tags doesn’t matter, but the current tags are more important

broken marlin
#

current tags provide an actual effects

lunar stream
#

Light, Heavy, Magic?

broken marlin
#

yes

lunar stream
#

Xiphos having 500HP but getting the light class is weird

broken marlin
lunar stream
#

Light and Heavy is basically just assuming their HP amount

broken marlin
lunar stream
#

So uh

#

Xiphos would go like this

#

Light/Order/Assassin

#

His leap kinda makes him assassin

#

Sometimes I use xiphos to fck those archidons up with charged leap

broken marlin
#

he can be everything but ranged according to your tags

lunar stream
#

Not really

#

he could be killed easily in the frontline

#

He isnt really a support besides that rage ability

#

Necromancers refer to "mages" and "witches"

#

Hes also Mid-Early game

broken marlin
#

he has rage that for support, 2 abilities for necromancer(pretty sure necromancer is a more specific class of spellcaster) is durable and has good dmg like a hybrid, has the leap against backline like an assassin

#

and yeah, quite a primary since compared to other generals he is pretty decent at early

lunar stream
#

primary and hybrid could be for xiphos too

#

but we are focusing on their actual purpose

broken marlin
#

and see? your tags does not fully determine a unit, they could qualify for multiple tags that could be more than 2, which makes these tags less useful

lunar stream
#

Sickles being Heavy too because of their splash damage would be inappropriate

broken marlin
#

E giant for example could both be heavy(in certain decks), ranged, and hybrid, catapult mode plus splash could make it an assassin too

stoic cave
#

I agree with more visible tags getting added to help new players but what is this

broken marlin
#

giant and jugg is both heavy and hybrid, technically speartons if you include atreyos and pike

stoic cave
#

This is just weird

broken marlin
#

also, crawlers as assassin?

#

they don’t have the necessary HP and value to reach the backlines without getting through frontlines first

#

unless the opponent is stupid to somehow get the backlines upfront

stoic cave
#

How the hell MAGIKILL and INFERNOS considered as fcking necromancers

broken marlin
#

kai is a necromancer though

stoic cave
#

Kai makes sense, but magikill and infernos?

broken marlin
#

he does command the dead and can raise deads, both fits the 2 common meaning of the term necromancer

lunar stream
#

necromancers are refered as "mages", " witches", "spawners"

stoic cave
#

I think it's better we just stick to the normal tags we have

stoic cave
#

Summoner would make more sense than NECROMANCER

#

In no way are magikill or infernos necromancers

broken marlin
#

the term necromancer in games or movies often refer to those that can raise the dead, one of the meanings i found about necromancers long ago is that they are simply the ones that can talk to the dead

stoic cave
#

This is just going to scare new players away

broken marlin
stoic cave
#

It would at least fit both magikill and Kai

#

But necromancer doesn't fit magikill

broken marlin
#

magikills does summon things out of the living world

#

just not exactly the dead either

stoic cave
#

They don't summon nor raise the dead, and I doubt that they can talk to spirits, so they 100% don't deserve the necromancer tag

broken marlin
#

anyhow there is no point of this talk because every point of the post is proven wrong, i still have other things to do

#

maybe this can still be improved if they still want to make it useful

stoic cave
#

I'm gonna make my own tag rework or just add more tags to the already existing ones

broken marlin
#

do it

#

just want to remind about the hidden tag “creature” which applies to ripriders and crawlers, i believe it prevents them from turning to deads upon death

lunar stream
#

ripriders are humans riding a creature

broken marlin
#

ask the devs about it not me
