When they use shield bash if you cast atreyos stand ability

Those speartons who doing shield bash deal 50 damage and change their position

Atreyos costs 900g and 200c.
His stand in ability doing 50 dmg is worth it, but for a regular spearton doing shield bash?
If xiphos isn't keeping his 50 dmg why would a spearton?
