#driver 8626 whql bsods when rendering video in davinci resolve
51 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Does the issue reproduce with 8531 gfx driver?
no clue i only use whql drivers
i also remember driver 8509 giving bsods
I see, it's a good practice to stick with whql drivers.
But for 8626, stay away from it. Intel released a buggy driver (again).
Can confirm also been bsod-ing with this code on both 8626 and 8531, going to rollback to 8331
See if it stops
More and more are reporting similar issue

wtf they removed 8331
You can find all versions archived in techpowerup website
there should be a link somewhere underneath looking at 'older' versions which will include 8331
oh its in "historical" drivers i found it
When I said I was facing similar issues, it wasn't for just davinci, but for video games
But reverting back to 8331 has stopped all BSOD I was getting

-# for the people who want to find older drivers
Yes, the 8331 is the most stable right now, but XESS anti-aliasing and frame generation do not work on them in some games
At the same time, it seems that in the update they wrote that they fixed it, but the BSOD, when moving between windows using the keyboard, still sits on the current drivers
im gonna test out 8629 (it released like 2-3 days ago)
insta bsod after i clicked render in davinci resolve
As far as I understand, a couple of employees (probably from the testing department) are now trying to reproduce this bug, but at the moment they are clean, I have a suspicion that all these errors may somehow be related to the vendor of the video card
Still, I don't have a reference version of the video card
av1 hits bsod the fastest iirc, maybe its smth with encoding/decoding?
It is unlikely that I can cause this error on new drivers literally within a minute without even entering the working software, by the way, the latest 8629 drivers In fact, they only add gaming support for "professional" video cards like the B70
Has anyone tested the new 8724 drivers? It seems that it does not state either that the problem has been fixed, or that it exists at all
Well, at the moment, a quick run through all the methods for causing BSODs doesn't work, but I would say that a longer run through both work and everyday tasks is needed to confirm anything for sure.
any update?
Update 8724, I see that beta 8735 has also appeared, but I haven't tested it. 8724 is causing my system to slow down for some reason.
I meant if you had tested it mb lol. I'll try and do some testing of my own but it doesn't look like Intel even acknowledges this bug yet lol.
Yes, that's true, but at least when discussing it on GitHub, they came to the conclusion that it had been fixed and closed the topic.
In any case, for now I've rolled back to 8331
from what i saw, devs just said "we'll look into it" only this last week or two. Intel driver release notes don't even mention it as a known issue 🗿
and most likely will not appear
Well, that's some other thread, one of the people involved created another one and it was closed a couple of days ago.
there are like 8 of these threads lol. everyone is having these issues and at first Intel was saying it was bad cards and now they're realizing it's bad drivers lol
I wonder if it's related to this in any way? It seems like the crashes are being caused by high dpc and the system overloading, which has been a problem with the B series gpu drivers since release.
either way I hope they fix these issues soon
Well, again, with the release of 8724, my BSODs stopped, but the overall stability of the system is questionable. I'll still be using 8331.
sadly doesnt work for cards like b570 which dont have this ;-;
Ahh shucks, sorry sister
Is this in the Intel graphics software settings or in the system settings?
Because I couldn't find this option in the Windows 10 settings after switching to the b580.
Graphics settings > advanced
System
I don't have this parameter in my system. I remember it was there, but after switching to the b580, it disappeared. I thought that after updating the driver, it would appear, but no.
I might have to go into the registry now.
It's a windows setting, but under graphics settings
You might not find it under 'system' you'll find it under graphics settings
