Hi @proper elbow, can you use DDU to clean your graphics drivers (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000091878/graphics.html) and then install the latest graphics driver https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html) ?
thank you so much
i will do it
little bit later
im busy right now
sorry for disturbing
@proper elbow @robust mango
ohhh
Everything you need is right there on the site
i downloaded
Including the steps to enter the advanced startup menu and enter safe mode.
now extract?
Yes...
Yes
That's not a good reason to not do it.
In worst case scenarios, you may corrupt your existing Windows install, which will require more extensive repairs or a re-installation of the Windows operating system, but that is unlikely.
Just follow the steps and you shouldn't break anything.
i use DDU all the time, its a safe tool
my dad isnt letting me do it
If you don't know what you're doing, just follow the steps, and don't get ahead of yourself.
Who owns this computer?
well
i do
my dad said just to not do it
i would regret it
It's not gonna break anything.
intel customer support asked you to do it...
That's one good argument.
ICS = intel customer support
For the 4th time, you may now reboot to safe mode by either holding down the shift key while clicking "restart" in the power options, or using the Settings app.
i dunno what we are even tryin to solve besides reinstall graphics driver
you can run DDU in non safe mode
if DDU doesnt fix your problem without safe mode, try safe mode imho
I just do it in safe mode, it eliminates the flickering which some folks are sensitive to.
Also depending on your laptop, it may also change scaling, which may complicate things.
But yes, you can use DDU in "normal" mode.
he prob rebooted already lol
I kinda miss my tech support job.
I won't miss poeple calling me to fix a problem, and the problem would be the fact that their laptop prompted them to plug in their laptop because it's running low on battery. It happens a lot more often than you think it does.
Also, DVD drives as coasters. š
well now i got another problem
my pc is german
and i dont understand german
even tho i changed language to english
it still shows me german in some parts
Can you take pictures of what's happening in your screen?
i can take pictures in the blue screen?
This is why I'm on Windows 11, it fixes those issues
You don't have a camera with you?
Or a phone, or something like that?
Oh. great.
im using windows 11
Wack.
Anyways.
There are icons, they don't change based on what language your Windows was installed with.
Use them for guidance.
i saw
trouble shoot
and things
this is what i saw
but some icons werent there
wait
Have you tried clicking on "See more recovery options"?
wrong picture
š
this is what i saw
but it had 2 more icons
and it said windows 11
or msth
smth*
In the Windows recovery environment, click on the icon with the wrench and screwdriver icon, then click on the icon with three lines and check boxes, and then click on the setting icon.
After that, there's gonna be one button and that's for the restart, click it.
Once your computer reboots, press 4.
Download the latest drivers for your specific GPU. Here's a website that might help; https://google.com
i have intel iris xe
and
is this site correct
cuz it only takes me to google
nothing mre
more*
I'm just gonna cry myself to sleep.
For future information:
That's what you can do with Google. Amazing, right?
š
no i meant this
this is what it showed when i pressed the first link
no site
only google
Yeah, what I mean is you can use Google to look up the drivers for your GPU.
