I didn't have any specific thing make you write i wanted to see how hosed windows is my advice at this point is probably to reinstall windows
(and maybe reset bios settings)

You're putting the setup files with the wim files on a bootable USB drive as if you were installing Windows for the first time. There is a troubleshoot option for recovery if you run into trouble with the already installed Windows such as the blue screen you were having.
